Espanola Valley High School

Senior: I love the teachers! Many of them are involved and sincerely care about their students. Though we don’t have the greatest resources, the teachers do there best to get across the full spectrum of each course. The staff are all very concerned as well. They do everything to keep the students safe. There have been some changes and new rules that others may criticize, but they are doing it for the students’ well being. Our district has had bad publicity, but I personally believe the reason for that is because it is what people seem to be interested in hearing. There are many bright and determined students, including myself, that are planning for the next crucial steps in their lives to become successful.

Escalante Middle/High School
- Chama Valley Independent School District, NM

High School Senior: While athletics seem to be the main priority of this school, it has major advantages. A great dual credit program is offered with around twenty college courses being offered and the possibility to earn the 60 credit hours required for an Associate's Degree.

Dulce High School

Alum: Something I liked about Dulce High School were the sports and Filipino teachers. The Filipino teachers are experts in their field and are always engaged with their student, unlike some of the other teachers at the school. The sport are top notch but not so much the coaches in my opinion. Something that I would like to see a change in is the cafeteria food, violence, and janitors. I wish Dulce made it more of a priority for college prep rather than a opinion for the students if they wanted it. I would also want to see more emphases on attendance. The amount of days students miss are ridiculous and needs to change.
