Senior: This school’s academics and extra-curricular activities are outstanding. They have Early College High School, a class that prepares students to take college classes starting their sophomore year. It was a little challenging, but there were so many teachers at the high school who would provide me guidance and help.

Lufkin High School
#2 Best College Prep Public High Schools in Angelina County
- Lufkin Independent School District, TX
- Rating 3.88 out of 5 227 reviews
Freshman: So far, only being a freshman, my experience at Lufkin high School has been interesting. The environment you are surrounded by every day has its ups and downs. The diversity among the students is amazing, when looking for someone to talk to about anything there is always somebody there to talk to. I wish that there was a bigger choice selection on what classes you could take because I believe that more people would enjoy coming to school if we had more choices when it comes to education. We are known for having great sports teams such as our football, baseball, golf and tennis teams. Most of everybody can find an extracurricular activity that interests them while attending high school at the same time. So overall my experience has been great with Lufkin school district, and I'm sure there is much more to come.

Huntington High School
- Huntington Independent School District, TX
- Rating 3.44 out of 5 95 reviews
Senior: I love Huntington with all my heart! I think one thing to change would be the way the classes are scheduled. We have A and B days, so we don’t have the same class everyday. I would like to have the same class everyday so I don’t forget.

Central High School

- Rating 3.71 out of 5 34 reviews
Senior: Central High School has provided my class with endless resources to ensure our future success. We have many on-campus college coaches and counselors that are constantly keeping up with updated scholarship opportunities for us. They have held on-campus clinics such as for the meningitis shot. Our counselors aided us with ACT, SAT, and TSI sign ups our junior and senior years. Our counselor and GEAR UP coordinator even helped us sign up for summer and fall semester classes for college.

Diboll High School
- Diboll Independent School District, TX
- Rating 3.33 out of 5 75 reviews
Senior: Some things that I like most about going to Diboll High School is that everyone here is pretty nice and everyone knows just about everyone. Especially being a smaller school things aren't so crowded and mostly kept clean. The teachers and staff are mostly nice and are willing to help you out with most of your needs. Some things I would like to see changed is that the internet we use is not very good, maybe have a little bit nicer facilities and for the staff to be a little bit more connected with the students to understand what we like.
