Niche User: The new administration is dedicated to improving the school overall. If you asked me how much I liked the school in 2011 as a freshman, I would have said I hated almost everything about it. But now the music department is getting a lot of growth and the principal really cares about improving the overall experience of the school for all the students. I really believe that the school is only getting better each year with new teachers who actually care about their students and updating supplies. With a new principal/administration that WANTS to see you succeed and WANTS to help its students get to their best self, I can only recommend that everyone give it a chance to prove itself. One downside is that the grading is SO difficult compared to other schools. The honors classes/ AP classes are pretty competitive and genuinely smart students sometimes feel like idiots. I remember when I got all A's and a B+ in an honors math course I felt like an idiot! It wasn't until I went to visit my friends at other schools that I realized how difficult the Bay Area schools are compared to others. Expect a challenging environment if you take the honors/AP courses. I think I would still go to Washington High School even if I had a second chance to pick something else.
