The teachers ensure that the students are not only learning facts, but also are pursuing truth, goodness, and beauty. Cair Paravel challenges its students to think logically, speak eloquently, and serve actively by incorporating a classically-based education. High school students have the privilege of reading great, timeless works of literature and engaging in riveting discourse with their teachers and fellow peers. Unlike most schools, the curriculum does not tell students what to think and believe. Rather, students gain exposure to many different genres and authors. From there, the students themselves determine what they believe according to what they have learned. Cair Paravel also encourages participation in the arts as well as the community, both of which are fundamentally necessary to being an dynamic citizen and living a good life.
