Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy
#41 Best Private K-12 Schools in Houston Area
Parent: The administration and faculty are caring, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They care for their students and take whatever time their students need to help them succeed or even just discuss spiritual matters. The variety of classes offered is unique and interesting, like Anatomy and Physiology, Marine Biology, Infectious Diseases.
There is a long learning curve to their online learning system which has a multi-layered platform for communication and course assignments between teacher and student. It can be confusing to new students and take a while to adjust to.
Also, too much emphasis (time and money) is placed on sports. More extracurricular academic and artistic activities and challenges should be offered and encouraged, such as Speech/Debate, art, music, chess, robotics. Maybe an outing club (nature hikes, canoeing, climbing, spelunking, surfing) would attract interest. Also, the students were very cliquish. It’s hard to make friends when you are new to the school.
