Niche User: Stuart really provides a very individualized education for girls. I have noticed an attention to the specific learning styles, interests, and needs of every student. The ability of the teachers to bring high quality programing through distance learning has not been matched by any school in the area. It was clear they were committed to delivering the same quality education, activities, and community events remotely that they are known for in a traditional setting. I could not be more impressed with the school's transition during a very challenging time. Thank you teachers for a job well done!

Senior: If you are looking for a safe environment for your kids, Koinonia Academy located in Plainfield, NJ is where to go. I've attended this school since middle school , all the way up till now - my senior year. This catholic school is like home for me. Not only have I felt safe physically,but mentally as well. The teachers and staff are so welcoming and Positive. They actually care for their students not only in wanting to see them improve, but just for their well-being. They go above in beyond with their efforts to accommodate to the students learning skills/abilities so it can be a comfortable environment for everyone. The school not only wants to see you succeed academically, but they also want to see you succeed in your faith. Koinonia Academy is one of the only Catholic schools I know that ACTUALLY puts faith above all. I have grown a lot since being here and I owe it all to the love and support from the people in this environment.

Parent: I am a parent of three St Paul School and Notre Dame High School graduates. Collectively, my children, my husband and I have the highest respect and praise for St Paul parish and School and the exemplary education provided. Academically and spiritually my children were developed and nurtured and the faculty and staff were partners with my husband and I in our children's growth from kindergarten on. All three children are successful in their academic and career pursuits and, more importantly, have a strong moral compass and consider the St Paul community and the many dear, lifelong friends we have made, their home and family. I highly recommend the School to Catholics and non-Catholics alike, as the value of the education, that lasts a lifetime, far exceeds the very modest tuition.

Parent: Living in Cranford, we sent our oldest child to Kindergarten at St. Michael's because it offered full day K with before and after care on premises (I didn't like the idea of her being bused to a separate location for after care). We fully intended to transfer her to public school for first grade, but we were so impressed by the school, that we decided to stay and she wound up graduating from SMS in 2018. (Our youngest is still in St. Michael's). Here is why we decided it was worth it to pay tuition to send our children to St. Michael's: before and after care on premises, small class sizes, family environment (this is not an exaggeration, we literally spend holidays with the families we met at SMS), state of the art computer and science labs, extracurricular activities and amazing teachers. In high school, our oldest child finished her sophomore year with straight A's; I credit her high school performance to the strong academic foundation she built during her time at SMS .

Alum: When you graduate you really miss this place. Immersed in academia, I was able to leave my rather boring home life behind me. There was no way to leave this school without preparedness for High School. Graduates attend prestigious schools such as The White Mountain School, The Northfield Mount Hermon School, The Hotchkiss School, West Nottingham Academy, Seton Hall Preparatory School, St. Peter's Preparatory School, and Newark Academy. With dedicated staff, OLS will always be there for the students. All Sports are free! Kids really get an opportunity to do everything they would like to try before high school. When I graduated 8th grade I had amassed more that $100,000 in high school scholarships; OLS helped me achieve my goal in life: to go to a prep school. I am grateful for every second I had at OLS.

Parent: We are long time Jersey City residents and my son is in 5th grade and he is here since PK. We are very happy with the OLC school, teachers are very helpful and professional, children are all well behaved and polite, school teach them well manner and being respectful. If you are looking for a balanced education this is the school for you. The reading and writing programs are exceptional. The math is always top notch and they won a few State wide championships. Before we start middle school we've looked around and compare with other public schools, we have decided to stay here because we feel this is best school for our son to grow up with. During pandemic challenging time, school have done excellent job to keep safe and functional for it's hybrid system, not only have fantastic hardware and tech support in all classes, also all teachers are doing great remotely and in class, we feel safe for our son in school every other week! We are proud to be part of OLC family!

Alum: I am an Alum of St. Patrick School and SPS provides a great education, excellent STEM-centered, technology-enhanced classrooms/a challenging curriculum, and all-around perfect preparation for high school and the years beyond. St. Patrick staff may help a struggling student get ahead, but also allow an advanced student to move forward past the already challenging curriculum (e.g. 7th grade student takes 8th grade math, while 8th grader can simultaneously complete Algebra 1 and Geometry courses. Rigorating high school prep and close culture (great friendships, student centered) and legendary sports, clubs, theatre/arts, music, and an all around 110% education and school culture. Go SPS!

Parent: My girls spent their entire elementary education here. My oldest recently graduated & is attending high school with honor level classes. She received guidance w/ HSPT preparation & testing. A nurturing environment w/ teachers that genuinely care for your child's academic success, Catholic strength & their safety within the building. Celebrated many Sacraments w/ the HSS family & will continue to do so. The most recent virtual academic experience was outstanding w/ teacher access during their class period, great resources & a variety of teaching methods to aid in engagement. I was impressed to hear the students' & teacher's voices engaging during class time. My favorite-8th gr debate teams held virtually. Students presented utilizing scholarly evidenced based research, articles & Author quotes. Many parents are involved w/ committees/functions e.g. carnival, performing arts, class parents, trunk or treat, X'mas breakfast, middle school dances; really is an extended family.

Parent: In these days of dwindling Catholic schools SVMS is thriving. There are many opportunities for parents to get involved. Sports and Enrichment offerings are excellent. The students develop in all areas with a focus on the religious. There is a very active HSA. Teachers are super and the administration is open and fair. Parent: St. John's Academy is different from other Catholic and public schools in the area. The difference is the culture that exists in the community. It is positive, welcoming and nurturing. It is hard to write in words- yet you feel it at every time you are in the building. Our children are thriving there after leaving a highly regarded public school system. Parent: I am a parent of two children who went through this school and I have been very happy in every way. One child is now in college and the other child is a current student. I come from a big family, with siblings, cousins, and friends. We grew up together and now we have children in various Catholic and public schools throughout northern NJ. When we talk, we always talk about our children and, by extension, about our children’s schools. This is on which I am basing my opinions. When I give a rating of "excellent," it's not to mean the school is perfect. But compared to the many other schools my nieces, nephews and friends’ children attend, Corpus is among the best, if not the best. There was another review at this site that started with "I've been a parent at this school for over 11 years" and I agree with that review. I wanted rigorous academics and strong Catholic values and I have been extremely satisfied. The school has continued to adjust and improve every year.

Parent: We have been part of the St Mary’s family for over ten years.. I have two kids that attend St Mary’s school and we just love it. The sense of community is very strong at SMS. The teachers have all been great and I have can get in touch with them anytime I had any questions or concerns. We love the way they incorporate technology into the classroom. The sports programs are well organized and SMS offers a lot of extracurricular activities. The administration are all really very nice, approachable and they have become true friends over the years. St Mary’s really takes safety seriously and has adapted many security protocols so I feel very safe with my kids there. It’s also right around the corner from the Police Station which is great! The education rooted in faith has really help molded my kids into kind, loving tweens and not just my own children but the support I see from their peers is remarkable. We can’t say enough good things about St Mary’s!

Parent: Our children are in their 2nd and 3rd year at all saints academy. I’ve been extremely satisfied with the teachers & assistants we have had thus far.
The school received a national blue ribbon award a year or two ago, which is a prestigious educational award for high achieving public and private schools.
The school seems to know everyone (students and families) on a personal level - perhaps bc it’s a smaller school. The principle seems a bit strict (which I can appreciate), but also quite friendly anytime I’ve spoke with her personally. We plan to keep our kids here until at least middle school.
