Senior: I have attended Crossroads since Kindergarten and have a lot of experience. Crossroads is a small school in Big Rapids, Michigan. A good thing about the small size of this school is that you have a lot of one on one time with teachers for questions you may have. Also, this school offers a lot of college classes and the curriculum is good for college readiness. Due to the size and the location of the school the diversity is very low. Most of the teachers are very nice and will actually reach out to you if they think you are struggling. Crossroads does not offer a lot of sports and we do not have a lot of funding in order to maintain the sports we do have. One of the best things about Crossroads is its academics. I have established about a 3.25 gpa while in high school here at Crossroads. The academics are challenging but the teachers are willing to help if you put in the effort.

Junior: I quite liked the teachers being accepting to different kinds of individuals, and they have rules to control those who are inappropriate and disrespectful. I feel safe at this school, being surrounded by accepting individuals in the fine arts group.
Everyone's experiences here may vary, but it's really up to the person themselves to change how they would like to experience high school. In my case, I did not become friends with people that were disrespectful, inappropriate, and not very mature. My friend group may be small, but I treasure each and every one of them.
For me, the bad experiences were only the result of my own lack of effort and understanding. It truly pays off to put a lot of effort into my studies and follow the guidelines to avoid trouble. If a mishap occurs, then an option I would take is to reflect on my mistakes, ask others for help, and make sure to avoid causing trouble for others, as well as myself.

Senior: I like how our teachers actually care about seeing the students succeed in life. Our faculty does not just help us with our school work and prepare us for college, but we have a wonderful counsellor that helps the students with any problems that they have outside of school. Like problems with work or at home. Our school cares about our students well being, and want them to have a good experience all throughout high school.

Senior: I loved the atmosphere at Chippewa Hills, your teachers really know who you are and it's very close. I would like to see some change in the attendance policy, they are not very lenient at all. So for students who have medical issues or if family emergencies pop up to you end up having to suffer consequences for something you have zero control over.
