Elizabeth High School
- Elizabeth School District, CO
- Rating 3.43 out of 5 240 reviews
Junior: Though Elizabeth High School is located in a small rural community, there are still many opportunities for their students. Due to smaller class size, students have better opportunities to build connections with their teachers and administration. It's nice to have teachers who know you and care about you individually. There are also a good amount of academic opportunities through CP and AP courses, though I would like to have even more options, but given the school size the variance already offered is still good. You can also participate in sports and extracurriculars like robotics, knowledge bowl, TSA, or FBLA. I would have like to be able to participate in something like a debate club, or maybe have more niche sports like tennis or lacrosse offered, but the class size is too small to support that.

Simla High School
- Big Sandy School District No. 100J, CO
- Rating 3.71 out of 5 35 reviews
Senior: Like most schools Simla has its quirks. But it has always been very reliable along with the people. This school has done a very good job of trying to help me get to where i am trying to be. They help me to know that do not have to do it by myself. It also helps that it is a small school because it makes it easier to connect with the teachers and for them to understand how kids lean separately.
The administration is more supporting to our teachers which just helps the students.

Elbert Junior/Senior High School
- Elbert School District No. 200, CO
- Rating 3.75 out of 5 4 reviews
Alum: Elbert High School provided me with everything I needed to be prepared for college. I was able to take advantage of the school's concurrent enrollment program, which will allow me to graduate with a bachelor's degree a year earlier than what I was expecting. Teachers are engaged with their students because of the small class sizes and are also equipped with new technologies to help enhance the teaching of their respect subjects. The facility is less than 10 years old and includes rooms for art, music, and industrial arts. Additionally, the school has a great gymnasium and weight room to supplement the physical wellness of its students.

Kiowa High School
- Elbert County School District No. C-2, CO
- Rating 3.49 out of 5 43 reviews
Senior: Kiowa High School is a good school to go to if you’re willing to fully engage with the clubs and school spirit. Otherwise, the school seems dull and lifeless. The school has an excellent Matchwits program and is working on their sports. I’d say the teachers are the true gems of this rural school. They truly care about their students, and since Kiowa is tiny, you get to know everyone pretty quickly. If you simply want to go to school and then go home without connecting with anyone, this school is not for you. This school has the lifelong friendships, excellent clubs, and phenomenal teachers that make a school worth attending.

Frontier High School
- Elizabeth School District, CO
- Rating 3.5 out of 5 14 reviews
Alum: Frontier High School is perfect for the kid who has a hard time fitting in or has issues keeping up the curriculum at a traditional high school. Its the kinda school where you don't get homework and call your teachers by their first names. Very small, only about 70 students and four teachers.
