Alum: High school was a little rough, just like any high school at that age. There were some teachers who did not care that much (at least it seemed) and some that would do absolutely everything to help you. Most of them are willing to help you if you put in the effort to try. you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped. I still had some really fun times and became skilled in extracurricular that helped me later on, such as public speaking. Senior: I have attended Chisholm Public Schools since I was in Kindergarten. The staff and teachers really care about their student’s education. I have met some of my best friends here, and have learned that branching out and talking to different people is a great opportunity to take. Chisholm is a fairly small school, so it has the everybody knows everybody type of feeling. However, this sometimes makes finding new friends challenging. One thing I would like to see change is an increased effort about mental health awareness. Sophomore: I love going to byng and I think all of the teachers are great and have a purpose to educate us and make us happy. I would like to see us get a volleyball team though. It could benefit us as a school because it gives us more opportunities for scholarships and it gives other people a chance to play a sport they like. Other than that I have no complaints!... Junior: For 11 years, I went to Glencoe Public Schools. Last year, my sophomore year, I decided I wanted something more. I wanted more than the basic classes. I didn't want good grades handed to me anymore. My mom jokingly suggested I go to Morrison the following year. Little did she know it was the best suggestion she's ever made for my education. Just within the first semester, I've built a hoverboard out of plywood, built and programmed drones, flew at a competition, joined many organizations, and just overall felt at home. I'm challenged now. And when I'm stuck and needing help, the teachers are right there to guide me through it. Parent: We have 3 boys that have it are going through Stillwater Public School. Our oldest just graduated and is 100% a product of the school system. He has had the opportunity to be a part of an academic team, orchestra, swim team, honors class and lots of student groups. The support that has been provided to him from Pre-K to HS from teachers and administration is more than we ever anticipated. Our middle son, will begin Jr. High in August. He has special needs, Stillwater Public School has provided more services than we could have hoped for. He has flourished under the school systems guidance. Our youngest will begin 7th grade in August. SMS has provided him the opportunity to figure out what he likes and doesn’t like in a safe educational environment. Throughout this last pandemic year, Stillwater Public Schools adapted, gave, cared and did everything they could to provide for every student the needs of education, peace and hope. Senior: I went to Edmond public school most of my life and it was mostly good except the way that they handled things throughout COVID. Many things were challenging and they did not handle things all too well when it came to scheduling, but overall they probable have one of the better education systems considering where I lived before and its education system before. I would like to see them change the way that they handle inclement weather and make decisions for the students because there were many time where we could have gone to school but didn't and many other times where they made us go to school when we shouldn't have.... Senior: A little over 10 months ago I moved to Pontotoc county and started attending Latta High School. I was a Jr at the time and only knew a handful of people. The teachers and staff are very friendly and thrive to create relationships with their students. The students are great kids but since it is a small scool there's alot of disclusion amount friend groups unless you are an athlete. The athletic teams are great and the whole school does so much to support the players! They love to inspire one another and see the school succeed. The academics are challenging but not too much to handle. You can always find a teacher more willing too help you, plus there's always before and after tutoring sessions. Overall my experience at Latta was great and I would recommend this school to anyone seeking a school focused on athletic teams and a great education.... Read 10 reviews

Senior: Paden is a very great school. It has such a wonderful environment. You're treated just like family as soon as you walk in the door. It's a very small school. and everyone knows everyone. Our high school and junior high consists of 200 kids at most. I have attended this school since prekindergarten. My graduating class of 2020 will have 25 students. My class is the largest in the high school. For the most part, my classmates and I have been together since preschool. We are basically like brothers and sisters at this point. The teachers and administrators are also very amazing. They are all very involved and always willing to help students as much as they can. Senior: Small school system around 1000 students total K-12. Teachers are generally hard-working and flexible with the often limited amount of resources available. I enjoyed my time for the most part. The upper elementary facilities are quite lacking but there pupportedly a plan for a large project to build whole new facilities for them which is encouraging. There is no auditorium of sorts, leaving the musical and performing arts in a sore spot. The high school has no turf track, excluding the possibility of hosting those sorts of events here. Generally, a lack of funds is the primary roadblock for these issues. Overall, however, the school tries very hard to make up for what it's lacking and I must give them credit for that.
