Senior: My experience at Dublin City schools has been amazing. All schools are so welcoming and supportive. It is easy to find help from teachers and staff. It's clear their intentions with their students are pure and just want what's best for us. I've had many opportunities to take advanced classes and go to school career events to educate us about future careers. The best experience I have had at dublin city schools is the bond I was able to form with teachers. They have helped me with learning and informed me about the best classes to take for my high school career. It has made me feel cared for and loved. Alum: I loved the schools, they offered many different things for everyone ranging from clubs to sports. I was in the marching band and I made plenty of friends. I loved the band because we had the best halftimes, and third quarter snacks. That is only part of my high school career. I enjoyed taking a bunch of different classes with teachers who really cared about you. I would say the only thing that sucks is its a A school so you have to be good at the classes or you'll feel like you wont fit in with everyone. Senior: I have lived in Solon my entire life, since kindergarten I've attended Solon Schools. Most of the time Solon is great, their teachers are attentive and caring, we have every resource we need, and even the school lunch is good. But there is always that one outlier. As I got older I have had to encounter many racist and bigotted people. Being black in a white school system is hard, the staff doesn't understand my daily struggles. I couldn't even count the amount of times I've heard the N- word and other racial slurs, and I also can't count the amount of times a staff member has told me that "it's just a word" and "you need to calm down". Because of my experiences I and two other girls deiced to reenstate the high school's African American Culture Club to create a safe space for black students. Junior: The Rocky River School District is full of amazing opportunities, teachers, and students. In my time as a student at Rocky River, I have learned not only many things relating to my scholastic education, but also valuable life lessons from doing activities such as cross country. I’ve met tons of people, some of whom I consider to be some of my best friends. Not only are the experiences truly wonderful in the Rocky River City School District, but the educational system is also quite good. I am going to be a senior next year, and I feel as though I am in good hands to help with my transition into college. The teachers in the Olmsted Falls City School District want students to succeed and they put in the time and effort to make that happen. My child has been supported and encouraged at school. I believe that her teachers have given her the confidence and courage to pursue her dreams. She is quiet and shy in a school setting. She doubts herself and her abilities. It was her teachers that got her to speak up, to believe in her skills, to get involved in school activities and to feel positive about herself. Parents can be supportive and motivating but children need affirmations outside of their own homes. Senior: Chagrin falls is a great school with many different educational and athletic opportunities. Teachers and coaches are friendly and inclusive with all their students. Students do a great job of supporting each other academically by encouraging those around them and grow better together. Likewise, the students are also athletically supportive by attending home games for pretty much every sport, along with even going to away games for some of the more popular sports like football, lacrosse, and basketball. Chagrin not only offers many different advanced placement courses, but they also have a wide selection of different art classes any student can take. For example, I was able to do three years of ceramics during my time as a student at chagrin falls high school and found that it was a great class. My other friends were able to take classes like photography, digital design, and drawing. All in all, Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools are perfect for anyone looking for a good education... Senior: My experience at Lakewood High School has been awesome! I've always liked to help around the community and be a good hearted person. Having many opportunities with extracurricular activities and clubs really helped with finding things i enjoy doing. I'm in many clubs, including a volunteering club, H20; indoor and outdoor track; Special Olympics, where we get to interact with the MILES students in our school and play sports. Even Medical Office Management which is a west-shore program in our school that can be used for as college credits. The teachers and staff are great and supportive. Overall, I wouldn't want to graduate from any other school. I got honored an award for Student of the Year for following the Lakewood High Schools graduation requirements. Senior: As a senior in high school, I have attended West Liberty-Salem since kindergarten. My experience has been nothing short of amazing. It’s a very small school and that creates a very tight-knit learning environment. You feel like you’re part of a small community where everyone knows each other. In my own experience, this has been very beneficial. You get to know your close group of friends very well but you still can branch out and make friends with so many other people. Additionally, the student-teacher connection is more approachable and friendly and I feel that this really makes the learning experience better overall. Junior: I entered Loveland as a kindergartener in 2012. Throughout my experience, I have learned one thing this school district tries really hard. The district had a problem passing levies to improve the function of the school but did not give up, it took almost 4 levies until one finally passed. The district has different programs installed in the school to make students feel included, for example, the middle and high school has a hope squad that allows students to get one on one help from their elected peers. Along with this is a student-elected student council allowing students to have a voice. The school spirit has grown over the past few years at football games and during homecoming having events like powder puff and dress-up days. All the school spirit makes school more enjoyable and feels as if the school is one community. Parent: Great city with a suburb feel. My family has been through elementary and middle school in this district and we've loved it. We enjoy the amount of access we have to administrators and teachers when my child needs assistance. We are given great tools to help our daughter at home. I am a very active parent in my daughters education so it is appreciated. We are excited for more opportunities available for my daughter in HIgh school. She loves music and acting so that will be enriching on the HIgh school level. The curriculum is very hands on and involves lots of innovation. Junior: Throughout my 12 whole years in the Ross Local School District, I was never disappointed. Ross offers so many opportunities, extra curriculars, and so much support from all of the staff. I was never disappointed in the performance of Morgan Elementary, Ross Middle School, and Ross High School. I have never heard of another district with such passionate teachers. The teachers employed by the Ross Local School District go above and beyond ever single day for their students no matter the circumstance. The bond between teachers and students in this district is outstanding. Along with their passion for teaching, the staff will do anything in their power to insure that every single student will succeed both in school and in their futures. The leadership of all 5 schools in our district is insane, with every educator always wanting the best for their students and staff.
