Middle School Student: As a student at this school, Indian Hill has provided me with numerous educational opportunities, provided me a safe place to learn, and has proven to be an excellent school overall. There is little to no bullying or social conflict, the facilities are superb, and the academics are strong. The reason I put only 4 stars is that Indian Hill is not for everyone. Let me make this very clear. About 90% of the students in the school are affluent, white, and somewhat sheltered. Most students are unaware of any world beyond the 10 miles radius of their house. Being a person of color at this school is also very alienating, but not as much as lack of privilege. There are kids in my class who complain about having to fly to Florida in commercial first-class instead of a private plane, who have never cleaned a kitchen or a bathroom. This of course is not everyone, but it is normal to have a maid at home. If you don't like being around kids like that, Indian Hill isn't the best choice.... Read 44 reviews

Parent: We moved from rural Kentucky, (90 minutes away), for my son to attend a school with more resources for AUTISM. He transferred to Sycamore from a private Cincinnati Autism school where he attended from 1st grade-7th grade. We held him back upon transfer, so he started in 6th grade and went from having a full-time aide in 6th grade, to no aide in 7th grade. (Spanish 7th grade teacher quickly realized my son's unique abilities in languages and was instrumental in achieving this). His testing scores raised from 2 grade levels behind his peers to almost proficient in his grade level in reading comprehension, his biggest struggle. He has stated that he would rather be at school because he truly enjoys the atmosphere and inclusiveness. He bowls on the bowling team, skis with the ski club, and loves the choir! Over the years 5 children went through and graduated from Forest Hills Schools and o they had outstanding experiences and hit the ground running when they went to college. Parent: As a working parent of two students during the pandemic, I would have to say that Wyoming has done a tremendous job balancing safety for both students and staff along with maintaining excellent instruction for all students, whether in-person, remote or hybrid. We have always been impressed with the quality of the teachers our children have had in the classroom. This year they have all risen to the challenge and our students (3rd and 6th grade) have continued to learn and progress despite the plethora of challenges presented by the pandemic. The approach of educating the "whole child" is evidenced by the inclusion of the extraordinary arts and music programs within the curriculum. Junior: I like how it’s such a big school but when you walk down the hall you know everyone. I really like our athletic program and how each sport is connected with giving each other gifts/cards. I really like all the teachers who encourage us to try our best! The lunch room is a really fun place where we can have our break in the day and eat and talk to our friends, I like having circle tables. Our guidance office is really great, they’re always open to see someone about any issue. They also will change your schedule Really quick if you have a problem with it. I like how my school is separated by classes (math, science, English, history section) this makes it easier to find where classes are. The show choir puts on performances during school and that is always fun! Junior: Throughout my 12 whole years in the Ross Local School District, I was never disappointed. Ross offers so many opportunities, extra curriculars, and so much support from all of the staff. I was never disappointed in the performance of Morgan Elementary, Ross Middle School, and Ross High School. I have never heard of another district with such passionate teachers. The teachers employed by the Ross Local School District go above and beyond ever single day for their students no matter the circumstance. The bond between teachers and students in this district is outstanding. Along with their passion for teaching, the staff will do anything in their power to insure that every single student will succeed both in school and in their futures. The leadership of all 5 schools in our district is insane, with every educator always wanting the best for their students and staff. Parent: Mason is the perfect place to be challenged and grow. Many people in Mason (unlike a lot of other Greater Cincinnati school districts) are not originally from Ohio. The school district has incredible cultural diversity, and defining "cool" in Mason means so many things depending on which activities you're in. Science Olympiad? Yep, that's dope. Nationally-ranked Marching Band and Strings? Uber commitment. Perennial-champion cross country teams? Very cool. As big as the school district is, it somehow still seems small. Alum: '14 alum. Lakota gave me a solid foundation in all the basic academic subjects. Overall great teachers at all levels K-12. Band program was, and I'm pretty sure still is, great! I loved all the band options. The only thing I wish was a little different were more opportunities to explore subjects beyond math, science, history, and English before college. I would have loved to have learned about natural resources, geology, agriculture, or ecology. Senior: The education system here is very excellent, they offer a much higher quality education than the other schools in the area. Here they provide specialized classes that help prepare for anything you may want to pursue after high school. The only thing I would change would be the extracurricular focus here. Senior: Coming into this district in the middle of my freshman year, the environment, students, and staff were extremely welcoming. It was a very easy transition in a tough time. Having been in this school for 3 years now, I've seen how connected the community is within our school and its activities, how close everyone is to each other and the staff, and how supportive our environment is. Parent: What impresses me the most about the Milford School District is their forward thinking/proactive mindset. They well-prepare students for college and offer college credit/AP/Great Oaks classes to accelerate higher education and to offset college expenses. They are professional, compassionate, responsive and invested in every student. They go the extra mile to make every student feel seen, heard and represented from Pre-K to 12th grade. I appreciate their no-nonsense approach to the teen vaping crisis with early intervention and rehab programs. They offer a wide variety of sports and extra-curricular activities. My personal favorites are the Band and Choir programs and Robotics/Battle Bots/Xtreme Bots. They provide mental health professionals and support at every school in the district. Junior: I really do love it at Ludlow High School. Even though it may not be the most diverse school out there, it still is one of the best options. Everyone there really does get along with one another and you never feel left out. Ludlow is a closely knit community of people that really do care for one another and will always have your back. So many of the student and faculty in Ludlow are amazing. Students are extremely nice and respectful, and the teachers care about each student dearly. Ludlow does not always have the budget to go all out and make the biggest and best purchases they still do everything they can for their students. Parent: Our experience with the elementary school has been phenomenal. We have been in both an inner city and a suburban district previously, and Madison just blows them out of the water in every way. The class sizes are smaller and there is such a lack of screens being used to teach, and the building is so nice! At both districts we were in before, screens were used A LOT for teaching, especially in the inner city district. My daughter's reading, math, and handwriting skills have just soared this year! She is actually now advanced with math and reading when she was just average before! My daughter is also the only kid I know that has been able to avoid remote learning and actually attend school all year long. They do their best to keep things as normal as possible and take measures to prevent illness. The pick up/drop off is lines are a breeze and so organized. Junior: I came to Lebanon at the beginning of my 6th grade year from a private school. I was so nervous to go to a new school, but as soon as I walked through the doors I felt welcomed and I knew that this is where I was supposed to be. On my first day I was immediately greeted by my teachers and they made me feel comfortable in a place that I wasn’t familiar with. Overall teachers and staff as well as the students here are incredible and that’s what made my experience that much better. If it hadn’t been for Lebanon I wouldn’t be in the same place that I am today and I’m so grateful for this school.
