Middle School Student: This school is absolutely amazing!!!! I am currently in 8th grade here and have been here since 4th. This school has great academics, but is small and doesn't exactly prepare you for high school. It is still great in many other ways.

Alum: Overall a positive experience. The teachers help students excel, though there are a lot of rules that suddenly go away in high school.

Central Middle School

Niche User: When I first started at Central, I did not want to open very much to people. I barely spoke english and I was afraid to be made fun of, so I stayed to myself. But the students reached out to me, I had a friend who I've always been close to, she showed me the ropes, and during a track event we had, even when we were in different teams, she stood by me through it all and I cannot be thankful.

Senior: Doherty Middle School was filled with great teachers that encouraged creativity and problem-solving in their students. Teamwork was a characteristic that was highly valued no matter what teachers you were assigned to. There was always something for everyone, whether you were an athlete or a theatre kid.

Masconomet Regional Middle School
#42 Best Public Middle School Teachers in Boston Area
- Masconomet Public Schools, MA

High School Sophomore: The education from Masconomet is one of the best locations for a child to receive their education from. However, the workload can be a lot, sometimes even unnecessarily excessive, especially at the end of the year. There are writing tutoring programs, and after-school help for 45 minutes Monday through Thursday. The teachers are very helpful when asked questions before or after-school. The curriculum however, is too centered around standardized testing and isn't focused enough on the learning.

#45 Best Public Middle School Teachers in Boston Area

Parent: Despite complaints from other people, I have seen the difference in education between Brookline and other school districts and feel it's worth the investment to live here. I do think it's easy to fall behind if you are not very active with the teachers. My advice to the school administration is that they need to enforce that all teachers keep up with Canvas as much as they expect students to turn in materials in a timely manner. I feel they're compensated enough to have a wide range of skills or teachers helpers to ensure they provide the students with these necessary tools.
