Alum: My siblings and I went here. The education is fantastic and there are lots of great opportunities for clubs and extracurriculars. Sometimes the school is too intense with coursework which isn't great for stress, but college for my siblings and I was super easy by comparison. I'd say the teachers are mostly fantastic and super memorable, and the bad ones never last long. My main complaint is the administration. Parent: We have had two children at Mountain Sage. One is a graduate and one is in the middle school program. It is clear that Mountain Sage has prepared our children academically and supported them emotionally in ways that we could not have imagined. The work ethic, creative approach, knowing of self, curiosity, and breadth of abilities of both our children are a testament to the teachers and administration at Mountain Sage. They graduate well prepared for high school and are ahead of their piers socially and emotionally. Senior: CEC is a great school to start your high school experience. It is also perfect to prepare you for the difficult parts that college can hold. Most of the teachers are very understanding and open to change and trying new things. Unfortunately, I do believe there are places lacking amongst staff members in how situations are handled. Sophomore: Ridgeview is a wonderful school that allows a student to be challenged. Although homework and stress levels were originally a major problem, Ridgeview's faculty has become much more reasonable in assigning homework and moderating students' workloads. Communication around the school has also improved drastically and students have learned to become comfortable talking to teachers about stress levels and whether they are assigning immense amounts of homework. The faculty overall is amazing...they are caring and extremely understanding. The school however still challenges you and pushes you past your comfort zone. Previously, complaints were often ignored and students' opinions were neglected, however this has become a much less severe problem. Ridgeview Classical Schools overall is a great school.... Alum: In general, I really enjoyed my time at TMS. The teachers are very welcoming and kind. They tried their best to conform to the needs of every student and were patient with difficult kids. The staff and students are generally very friendly as well. Sports and Extra-Curricular activities are a huge part of this school. There is no diversity at Turner, however. Senior: My experience overall was pretty good. The best part about Loveland classical for sure is the education. Loveland classical definitely has a very rigorous education, consisting of a lot of papers and homework, however I think it properly prepares us for college. I previously went to a public school before transferring to Loveland classical and the change was immense. It’s a very rigorous education but it is very worth it to prepare yourself for life and college. Loveland classical aims towards a classical education differing from many other schools and I think it was essential we learned this to help better prepare us for life. My life would be completely different if I went to a different school. One think I think that Loveland classical lacks is the sports and school spirit. Overall during my time at Loveland classical, the school spirit has gotten a lot better along with the sports, but I think there is still room for improvement. Parent: Love Kinard! The teachers push their students to work hard and they help one on one if they fall behind. We heard it was a lot of homework, and at first, had a hard time adjusting from elementary expectations. I’m glad it’s not something he has to get used to once he hits High School as it just seems standard now. His grades and overall attitude towards getting his work done and understanding what he’s learning have changed. The kids are taught responsibility for their grades and behavior and the teachers are very involved with the students and make it fun for them. Before we attended, I heard mixed reviews from friends and neighbors, “it’s the snobby school” and “the harder school” were the ones I heard the most. Senior: The best parts of my experience were mainly the culture and people that we have at Polaris. Crew was the main one, my crew teacher was Biller a very charismatic and fun teacher who, despite the many issues that our crew had, held us together. My worse experience had to be my freshman year mainly due to COVID. It was hard to be completely new in a school where some people had known each other since kindergarten. The only thing I would want changed would be my own family’s involvement. I’ve been the only one to do things for my school but it would be nice to have family involvement.
