Senior: I love Gridley High School because of its small size. Since it’s quite small, many people are close and almost everyone has associated with each other a handful of times. The teachers are also much easier to speak to and many staff members and teachers have relationships with students. What I would love to see change is the amount of classes and the variety of classes for students to choose, as well as equal recognition or equal financial split for the high school sports teams. Having more sports teams would be great as well! Many people, including parents and the student body as well as teachers, have been wanting to see a boys volleyball team this year, but financially, it’s been very difficult. It has also been very difficult due to lack of knowledge, however it’s is very well supported by everyone!

Senior: I love the small town atmosphere of Durham! I went to school with kids that I’ve known since kindergarten!! At Durham, I have had so many wonderful opportunities. I’ve played sports every year because the school is so small and anyone, no matter the skill level, can participate in sports. We also have a Dual Enrollment program that let’s ya challenge ourselves and earn college credit while taking classes at our high school from our wonderful teachers! All my teachers were very helpful, understanding, and patient. They cared about the students and would stay after class just to help someone out. Our career counselor is very involved in helping us out, and has a chance to meet with every student and she helps us out a LOT! That is another one of the many reasons why it’s so great to be in a small school!

Senior: Well my experience with oroville high school has been a mixture of both good and bad. Through the four years I've attended I would say there was alot more good than bad days. Some of the things that I loved to see was having an open campus, and I was also glad to experience some classes no other schools provide in our area, such as the rop class, drivers education that they finally removed and even n event called every 15 minutes. But some of the things that I would like to see change would be the way they have the campus closed up, I feel like they should have left opened the gates in different slots than they did and I also feel like it would be a great idea to have a box to drop anonymous ideas on how to change the school . But anyways I felt like my school was amazing and almost didnt need any change :) sincerely, Ruby Davis.

Alum: Paradise High School was great! All of the Instructors were amazing and committed to helping better their students, not just having them memorize material required by the state.

Hearthstone Charter School

Alum: Hearthstone has a good amount of extracurricular classes and the teachers I encountered were very enthusiastic about what they were teaching. I took a horticulture class and the teacher was very hands on and was good at making tiring tasks seem fun, like when we planted a few trees and bushes in the summer heat he kept us interested while we worked. My personal teacher was also very helpful about keeping me on track with homework and staying patient.

Las Plumas High School

Niche User: Like every school, there are the ups and the downs to it. For Las Plumas, at least to me, it did not have as much of a bad side compared to the good side towards it. LP has a wide variety of staff members that are caring and overall great people to be around. If something is causing trouble or if someone is causing trouble around school, then they will do whatever they can do to fix that problem. On top of that, I myself have built great chemistry with the people of Las Plumas, and so they too give me the same respect I give to them. Then again, like everyone else, you treat others the way that you want to be treated and so you will get what you give in return. The only major thing that I would change with LP is their football coaching. It is inefficient and causes the team to win, at most, one game if not none.

Junior: I like how small the school is. It really gives you a chance to meet everyone and connect with teachers better. What I would like to see change is the amount of clubs, AP classes, and more sports. We need way more of these. I would like to see a Key Club, debate team, decathlons, etc. I would also love it if we had a soccer team. I think that would get more students to participate in sports.
