Plymouth-Whitemarsh Senior High School
#3 Best Public High School Teachers in Pennsylvania
- Colonial School District, PA
- Rating 3.99 out of 5 351 reviews
Senior: Overall, I've had a very good experience at Plymouth Whitemarsh. The course selection is amazing, as well as many of the professors that teach them. The cafeteria is beautiful, a new gym has just been put in, and the numbers of clubs/activities to join is through the roof! However, my school could do a better job at helping kids that are a little less privileged than others. I have had some trouble handing in assignments due to not having a printer and at certain times not having internet access at all, and have received bad grades due to lateness despite explanations I gave about my situation. The AVID program I'm a part of is a great way for students to get help, but informing all teachers of individual people who need an extra helping hand would go a long way. Several teachers have helped me though, even going as far as to purchase me another book-bag when mine was falling apart. This shows, though is has imperfections, PW is a great school for any student's secondary education.

Harriton Senior High School
#14 Best Public High School Teachers in Pennsylvania
- Lower Merion School District, PA
- Rating 4.13 out of 5 188 reviews
Senior: Harriton is a very challenging and supportive school when considering academics. They offer dozens of college-level courses and many other courses with challenging curriculums. Many of the students have the goal of continuing on to a very prestigious college or university. It is quite competitive. One thing that I do not like as much is how some students seem to only do things to "get into college," and not because they really like to.
Harriton offers an incredible program for technology as they give every student a personal laptop for the four years that they spend there. Also, the teachers and administrators provide many resources to help you through challenges you may face academically and socially.
Something I think Harriton can improve on tremendously is the view they have of other schools and areas. Many people at the school have a closed-minded view of their path after college. Harriton is in a very wealthy area, so many of the students must learn how fortunate they are.

Upper Merion High School
#139 Best Public High School Teachers in Pennsylvania
- Upper Merion Area School District, PA
- Rating 3.78 out of 5 322 reviews
Senior: Upper Merion Area High School is an outstanding High school with dedicated teachers, a wide, but in depth, array of courses, and a truly endless amount of opportunities where you can explore your interests. Additionally starting in 2023, Upper Merion High School will be located in a brand new building with an indoor track, an Olympic sized swimming pool, and more. With that being said, Upper Merion High School isn't exactly perfect as well. For example, there is still room for the school to add more AP's, like AP Macro Econ or AP Seminar, to the list of AP classes taught by the staff. Also, the current high school is located in is quite old, and outdated though that will change when the new school is completed. Overall, Upper Merion High School is fundamentally a great school with lots of exceptional qualities that I would highly recommend to anyone, who's considering attending it.

Kensington Creative & Performing Arts High School
- Philadelphia City School District, PA
- Rating 3.15 out of 5 40 reviews
Senior: I have been attending this high school for the past 4 years. And so far the school to me is okay but sometimes, it can be a little wild. The staff and administration within the school are very friendly and helpful. The school also helps you prepare for the career path you want to do and college. For the athletic programs at KCapa, we are part of a multiplex with our sister schools; Kensington Health and Science Academy & Kensington High School. We have a lot of extra-curriculum activities for students to join after school. Such as Football, Basketball, Baseball/Softball and etc. Including student government, yearbook, congress, and many more. The classes at Kcapa are even set for what they want to learn in the desired major and what they need to learn in order to advance their skills. And the location of the school is in a good place. There are currently three septa routes near the school. The 3, 25, and the market-Frankford line.
