Rye High School
#5 Best Public High School Teachers in New York

Senior: Rye is notable for a very strong education system as well as athletics. The teachers there are one of the best and caring educators in the state. Many students, such as myself, who take rigorous courses, such as AP's, often feel confident going into tests and exams. Athletics are very strong as well as the district provides a lot of funding.
However, this school lacks in diversity in many aspects--racial, ethnic, financial, and social. The lack of racial/ethnic diversity often leads to very apparent ignorance, and lack of knowledge in many areas. Rye is located in one of the most wealthiest counties so I think that speaks for itself. Many people have grown up in Rye so very cliquey friend groups are common, and if you have move as a new student it takes some time to find a group. Many people do find their own group of people, though.

Senior: Rye Neck High School is a tight knit community with great academics and a good community. Since the school is fairly small, most people are friends with each other and teachers are always free to help you out with any personal problems you are having in any classes. The school has a variety of clubs and activities and makes it easy to get involved with them or start new activities, and the administration is open to ideas. Overall, Rye Neck is a great place to spend your teenage years as you become close with many more friends and have access to top tier academics before college.

Niche User: At Port Chester High School, I had a good time. I made friends in the school and learn new things everyday. I really loved my teachers. The school is very underrated because it does not have the best academic courses or options for students to choice such as language. I remember it was either, Spanish, Italian or French. I Took Italian, I wasn't the best speaker in my class but I loved learning about the country. Italy is beautiful. My love for Italy started in high school. I enjoyed being in school because I would see my teachers and friends in the same day. I loved just learning new things, well that interested me. I do miss being in high school. Being an "adult" sucks but we must push.
