St. Louis Park Senior High School
#40 Best Public High School Teachers in Minnesota
- St. Louis Park Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.53 out of 5 253 reviews
Senior: I liked going to Saint Louis Park High School. It has many unique students, there's no place like it. There are large Muslim and Jewish populations and many different clubs. There's a GSA, an art club. The people are amazing, and are all very kind. The German class gets small Senior year but the students who stay are lovely. The students at Saint Louis Park High make everything worth it.
On the other end of things, the school is constantly under construction and at times it feels like the administration mainly cares about sports. The school board took too many years to pass a policy to protect Trans students but it has been passed, thanks to alumni Elise Bargman and Madame Sweeney. The school is steeped with tradition, senior pranks, school musicals (Legally Blonde!), and painting the senior wall! The nurse and the janitors are overworked but they are lovely people. The art teachers pay for school art supplies with their own money.

Hopkins Senior High School
#78 Best Public High School Teachers in Minnesota
- Hopkins Public Schools, MN

Junior: Hopkins, overall, is a great school.
There are many schools I had the opportunity to attend living in the town of Hopkins. There were multiple private schools and public schools but I decided Hopkins High School was the best for me.
Hopkins has always been thought of as a school that doesn’t prioritize academics and that those who want to succeed shouldn’t go to the school. While I can agree that academic output isn’t a main focus of the school, making kids feel at home in the school is. The management listen to the student’s voices, regularly holds assemblies, and gives student a safe place they need or may not have outside the school.
Regarding academics, Hopkins’ take towards it is much different from any other school. Rather than presenting a strong transcript, Hopkins made me work on my real talents and promoted growth in places that make me who I am today.
