Senior: If you've seen any rankings/reviews, you know this school is rigorous. But because students choose to attend this high school, the student body consists of like-minded individuals who like learning and pushing academic boundaries There is a spot for everyone here—as each class is ~100 students, Signature has a very close-knit community. The faculty is amazing without exception; their love for teaching and care for the students is clear Signature feels like home. The countless clubs—with focuses in service, language/culture, academics, pride, sports (esp. recent years), etc—encourage intergrade interactions & relationships This school has an open campus! Many students go out to eat and most enjoy lunch outside. There are currently 3 buildings, and for this reason (considering it's in downtown Evansville), students must take extra care to be safe. Senior: Zionsville High School is a large, appealing public high school. Recently it's undergone changes to better accommodate the lives of students such as a new cafeteria and entrance. We have several options to pick for lunch every day, but usually it's the same few options every day. I've had mostly positive experiences with the staff. I believe most the staff tries to create a safe inclusive learning environment for all students. I also have not had a class where I felt I was not being taught anything useful or being forced to do too much at once. The social atmosphere here is very good. I haven't seen many problems with bullying, and there are little to no fights here. I think this school prioritizes sports over other extra curriculars. I would be interested in events for clubs other than sports. This school is definitely not very diverse. Senior: In general, Herron High School is a wonderful place to get an education. The teachers all genuinely care about the students, and treat them as fellow people. Senior: I rate my high school as superior. From the teachers to the cafeteria staff, I feel 100% supported. Teachers stay after school and come in early just to give extra attention when needed. We receive recognition for being a positive role model in our community and our school. Senior: My experience at Brownsburg High School wasn’t all great but I wouldn’t change it. For starters, my school work was overbearing and sometimes hard to keep up with but, they had after school help and many programs and opportunities to keep you learning and improving. During my freshman year I was very active in clubs and still am to this current day, I participated in cheer, a volunteering club, and many more after school activities to keep me active in my community. Brownsburg had many clubs to offer just like colleges and you can always find one or many that fit you. My sophomore year I was able to maintain a job outside of school while still doing my school work, it did get overwhelming and in result I dropped some clubs but by junior year things calmed down a bit more. I maintained a 4.0 gpa, stayed after school for extra help if needed, and kept in touch with my teachers. The teachers were always advertising their assistance to students if needed and now. Senior: I’ve really loved my experience at Westfield. Before coming to Westfield, I went to a small district school that didn’t have many extracurricular that intrested me nor did I fit in that the school. When I came to Westfield High School, I got to take all sorts of classes, meet people with different backgrounds, interests, etc. and felt included in what I did, such as I took part in Westfield’s high school Dance Marathon for Riley Children’s hospital and feel welcomed at Westfield High School’s Gay Straight Alliance club. Coming to Westfield improved my social skills and my academic skills; I don’t think I would have gotten into college and be ready for college without going to Westfield, and I’m so thankful for that!... Alum: Honestly, Riverside is a really good school. They guide you into the right ways of life. Yes they are very strict, but they honestly help you on things you will actually need on life. The teachers are very friendly, but also they are strict. The school is also gender friendly. There are also gender neutral bathrooms and everyone is accepting. I would recommend this school to those who are willing to challenge themselves to be better and smarter. The school offers advanced classes as well. So if you are one of those people who are really smart, then I would definitely recommend going to that school. They also have a wide variety of athletic programs. So if you wanna try out for anything, you are always welcome to do so. The school also offers many different clubs you might want to join. Senior: Attending high school at Valparaiso High School has been enjoyable. There are many diverse and advanced courses offered and a great teaching staff. Outside of the classroom, there are many clubs and athletics offered. Whether you end up joining one or not, there is an extracurricular available for everyone. The best part about my experience here would be joining the Swimming and Diving team and being in that environment. The worst part would be my freshman year, 2020. As you know, 2020 was a difficult year for many throughout the country and even the world. When COVID hit, everything shut down for what seemed like forever, and unfortunately, that was my first year of high school. I like that the school has a multitude of different resources in order to assist students in completing their assignments as well as additional help in college preparations. Senior: Hanover Central High School has been an amazing environement for ciricular and extraciricular purposes alike. I've participated in over 12 Honors and AP classes, as well 10+ extracirriculars, and I've yet to find an environment unmotiviating or a staff member unhelpful. My teachers have been phenominal educators, examples, and friends, and our staff have always acted students-first. If I had to name one concern, it would be the atmosphere of the school. I know rules for the school come from administration, but their enforforcement always seems to favor order over hospitality - not to disenfranchise the importance of this priority for rules critical to safety and integrity of the learning environment. However, phone policies and parking rules are always barked out; if you parked in the wrong place because the snow covered the "Visitor" labeling, you're met with consequence and a threat of towing at your expense. Senior: If you're looking for smaller classes and more one on one time with a teacher, then this school is definitely for you. I've been here since its founding, and the bond I've created with both my classmates and my teachers will stay with me forever. It truly feels like they are family and that I've grown up with them, as well as watched them grow. The curriculum is outstanding and like no other, not only does it allow you to further your understanding on topics but also make you think about them long after class is over. The teachers are incredibly engaging and truly have your best interest in mind. The thing I find the absolute best about this school though is its flexibility and how if a whole class is struggling with something, they won't just move on but instead make sure each and every student understands. Senior: My experience has been amazing! Sure, I had my ups and downs, but it has been a lovely ride, through and through. Junior: The Graduation school is very stigmatized in Bloomington, Indiana. It's considered the "bad" child school because it is the school youll get sent to if your bad at one of the other schools, but I personally chose to go to this school instead of being sent here and the teachers here are some of the most helpful, and understanding teachers I've ever had. And many of the teachers here do have to deal with children not wanting to do their work which could cause tension between student and teacher because they have to have a power control over us, but teachers here try very hard to stay calm and help you finish your work on time and in a good fashion.
