Junior: I moved to Kirbyville my 7th grade year, and now I am a Junior! I have loved coming to this school because they provide such a safe and accepting environment to all students and staff. There is nothing better than being in the stands at a home football game with all of my friends, cheering on our Wildcats! Senior: I am I current student at Bridge City High School and love this school from the bottom of my heart. Bridge City has some of the greatest teachers, with our very own Ms. Landry winning the region's Teacher of the Year in 2022. This school has made me feel safe every day and given me exciting opportunities such as participation in our state marching band or our stem bus engineering project. We are offered some of the best academic opportunities and we always show our cardinal pride and culture. We have a great number of facilities such as the new CTE building coming next year. We have great athletes competing in almost any sport you can think of, from football to fishing. Future artists have also been prominent here. Our parents are always involved with anything the school does and the school is hard at work, preparing us for college. Other: Speaking as a former student of Sabine pass I am pleased to say I've had a great experience from my freshman to senior years of highschool. On my first day of school I worried about making new friends and fitting in because none of my friends were there, however I soon made new friends and didn't feel alone anymore. As for my education, I've had great teachers who listened and cared for their students wellbeing. For extracurricular activities, I joined UIL and band, where I enjoyed and excelled at both. Senior: Warren High School Molded me into who I am. I have nothing but love for my school and the lessons it has taught me throughout. Warren High school helped me develop the best skills I needed for the future such as, taking leadership at pep rallies and always being the loudest at the games because motivating your friends is key, or having a blast at school functions because we make it a good time and showing the underclassman what it's about, and also having some of the greatest teachers who push you to who you want to be when you are this close into the real world. Other: One of the best things a out Hamshire Fannett is that they dont just let you skate by, they make sure your doing your very best and help you along the way. I've had some of the best teachers while I attended, and helped me grow, not just as a student, but as a person. Theres not much I would say is bad about HF, but one of the things I should mention would be the fountain water. They dont keep up with the filters. Alum: I like everything at my high school. There were many opportunities to participate in a variety of activities. I was not limited to one extracurricular activity. I was an athlete and was still able to participate in the music program. There was the opportunity to take dual credit courses to help me advance a semester once college started. Teachers were available to help during the dual credit courses. If dual credit courses were not in a student's plans, then there were options to take advance courses to help with grade point averages. They had several options of advance classes depending on the degree plan of the student. The school also had a before and after school program that provided tutoring and other fun filled and learning activities for students who chose to participate. Junior: Orangefield High School is definitely one of the best schools in this year's district. Not only do they have some of the best staff, but they also have wonderful students! Orangefield knows how to handle business while also showing the best school spirit. They have many different extracurricular activities to choose from as well as many academic options. Junior: I like how many options that we have to chose from. The school has multiple classes, clubs, organizations, and other extra curricular activities that you can be part of. I think that there could be more activities such as pep rallies, programs, and other things that could give students a little bit of a break and help them appreciate their school more. They could have fun activities because there are not many as of right now. Junior: At West Orange Stark High School, they're a lot of pros and cons to attending this school. It's inside a good, small environment in Orange, Texas. We have a really good football team. NFL player for the Seattle Seahawks, Earl Thomas III, graduated from here. Recently, our school had made it to the state championship in football, twice! They won the championship in 2015 but lost in 2014. All other sports aren't very popular and don't win many games except football and volleyball. Overall, the education there is pretty good and it has improved over the years! The education use to be very poor, now I say the education is fair! They have some good teacher but they also have some horrible teachers. I'd say I'd give the teachers and administration and 6 overall. They just need to find better teachers and AP's and get more involved in the community with the clubs at the school and get better coaching staff for other sports besides football and volleyball.... Senior: The 4 years I spent at West Brook were not the best of times but I enjoyed it through staff and faculties. My freshman was hectic because of covid and never truly finishing off that year. Sophomore was even more difficult because of not being in a classroom for the first time. Junior was my full official first year of high school, school became slightly easier because I had the mentality that I only had a year left. Sophomore: Starting out small and ending big! West Hardin is a very small school in Saratoga, Texas. I have always gone to school here and plan to graduate in the same place. It’s been one great experience starting from kindergarten all the way up to the tenth grade. I’ve had lots of opportunities opened up to me by the West Hardin FFA and the West Hardin High School Golden Pride Marching Band. I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for this amazing school. We may not be the best at what we do but we’re getting it done and getting better in the process. This school is growing and has great things coming for it. I have big plans for after I graduate and I know I can get them done even in this small school. Being in a tiny school is like being in a BIG family.
