Mill River Union High School
1 Best Public High School Teachers in Rutland County
- Mill River Schools, VT
Senior: Mill River is a good high school overall. Most of my teachers were good or great. I mean here I am writing this review on the off chance that I might win $2,000 for college so they must've done something write. My only real problem with MRU is that the graduation gowns are still separate colors for boys and girls, I mean seriously is this the 1960s??? It's so outdated.

Senior: I give my school a 5 star rating because of the great community. I've gone to this school since pre-school. We are a k-12 school all of us in one building and I've been here my whole life. The kids that I will be graduating with I have spent nearly my entire life with. I have a bond with these kids and this community that is unbreakable.
I am happy that I went to this school despite the extremely small size. There are approximately 100 high schoolers and about 200 elementary and middle schoolers bringing our total size to about 300 students. I loved growing up here, especially now that I am a high school student. I love being an example to the younger kids and I love their support for us when we are playing sports. It is a great community and it has no doubt shaped me into the person that I am today.

Senior: Overall experience has been wonderful! RHS prepares students towards higher education and college. Kids know what they are looking at in colleges. RHS has lot of courses to offer both academically & electives. Teachers have been very helpful throughout. There have been times where the school has been extremely cold during winter months. There are more positive points versus negatives.

Senior: I love Vermont Academy because it feels like home. It's a small school of only 250 kids. However, the community is the best part. I know every student, faculty member, faculty child, faculty dog by name! I have never felt so comfortable being myself in a classroom, on a playing field or as a member of a community.

Proctor Junior/Senior High School
5 Best Public High School Teachers in Rutland County
- Proctor School District, VT
High School Junior: I came to this school in the ninth grade. Everyone in my class had known each other since kindergarten, however they welcomed me right in and made me feel comfortable. The atmosphere at school is very relaxed, nonchalant, and comfortable. Everybody knows everybody and there is no "popular". Everybody gets along and is friends with everybody else. Most of the teachers are spectacular and form personal friendships with the students. They are always willing and eager to help students out. The sports and music departments thrive despite being small in numbers. I couldn't ask for a better high school experience.

Otter Valley Union High School
- Otter Valley, VT
Senior: As a senior at this school and having attended it since the 7th grade, I can thoroughly say that this place was fantastic. The teachers were excellent and made you feel helped and safe. The school provided a safe learning environment for everyone of all learning abilities. Personally, I never once had an issue with a teacher here, everyone was willing to work with you to get you to the level you wanted to be at. Also, the school is constantly changing and working towards a better school for everyone. These constant updates in the school allow it to be successful in both reaching students academically and personally.
