Junior: I enjoyed the community involvement and teacher faculty. All teachers genuinely care about and get to know you on a personal level. Rockridge also has a great sports program, in which it has 11 sports. I would very much recommend attendance at this school!

Moline Senior High School
#2 Best Public High School Teachers in Rock Island County
- Moline Unified School District No. 40, IL

Sophomore: Moline Senior High School has developed dramatically in these recent years. It is quite crazy to see the amount of renovations and additions to the school. With a new Performance Arts Center, this has really drove the drama and musical side of the school as more people are attracted to the activities in association to the center. With a brand new sports complex (including a large weight room, wrestling rooms, multiple courts, and indoor track), I expect more to come in our sports teams with the advancement of this facility. The public school is located in a friendly, great area where there is much safety as that is a key component to a school. Ultimately, with these additions to Moline Senior High School, they will gain an advantage among schools surrounding it. There'd only be one thing I would change and that would be the ability to move to a blended idea of schooling. If they could gain skills in the online schooling area, they could excel adequately.

United Township High School
#3 Best Public High School Teachers in Rock Island County
- Public School
- EAST MOLINE, IL
- Rating 3.71 out of 5 173 reviews
Senior: I enjoyed a lot of the accelerated courses I took! The teachers genuinely cared about the well-being and mental health of the students that they were interacting with every day. The only reason I rated the school four stars instead of five is because of the lack of effort I have heard the general and some CP teachers have put in. Most of the courses I took that were not required, but I instead took as electives, I learned next to nothing from! Overall, the required education was very good for me personally, and I am extremely glad I was able to build strong connections with some of my teachers. I know that after I leave for college, I will be able to contact them with any help or questions I have!

Rock Island High School
#5 Best Public High School Teachers in Rock Island County
- Rock Island School District No. 41, IL
- Rating 3.6 out of 5 191 reviews
Senior: Rock Island High School is a great school. It has many teachers that really care about teaching and helping students. There are many active clubs involved in all sorts of things including robotics, drama, community involvement, and even debate. We have just about every sport that I can think of. Overall, it's a great school. Unfortunately, about every year that I've been a student here I've had at least 3 bad teachers who do all sorts of crazy things. For example, providing an extreme of each learning environment, grading only 3 problems out of a 20+ problem assignment which completely screws up our grade, and literally, not teaching at all, having us learn 100% of the class out of a textbook. Having said this, I've also had multiple teachers that I absolutely love and wish I could have them teach more of my classes.

Sherrard High School
#6 Best Public High School Teachers in Rock Island County
- Sherrard Community Unit School District No. 200, IL
- Rating 3.05 out of 5 131 reviews
Sophomore: At Sherrard High School, the staff members want only what is best for their students. During this difficult pandemic, staff members have stepped up in many ways. When our school transferred to remote learning, teachers posted assignments and held online video chats to ensure every student knew what they were doing. I recently had something sent to me in the mail that one of my teachers sent to me. In the envelope, I received a bracelet that says "positive" in the middle. I did an assignment focusing on the word positive, but making a bracelet and handwritten note after the school year was over just showed that the teachers actually care. Besides the fact that our teachers are always here for the students, our school focuses primarily on the education given to the students. Our school wants to see everyone excel academically and in athletics. At many of the athletic meets and games you will see all sorts of staff members supporting the Tigers! Sherrard really cares.
