Senior: I have been here my whole life and I have enjoyed every moment of it. You really do make lifelong friends here. The teachers are very well educated and know how to get students ready for college. Milano offers tough classes but they are worth it. The students come from all over the place and end up loving it here. Yes, the teachers and administration are hard on us, but it's because they want us to succeed.

Senior: I think that Thorndale High school is a wonderful place to be. There is always a sense of community and family and you are never left feeling alone. I think some campus safety adjustments, like the way visitors enter to building would be the only thing I think needs to be fixed, but that is something they are working on! My experience at THS was one I will never forget!

Senior: I started attending Rockdale High School in my Junior year of high school, and I had a very good experience. Unlike my previous high school, the teachers were very engaging and seemed to really care about the students and their education. They provide many clubs and activities, which open many opportunities to learn, grow, and gain new experiences. I personally felt very supported by almost all the staff there and always received any help needed. The only complaint I have is that although they do provide dual credit courses, the counselors didn't seem to put aside a lot of time for seniors for college planning even when requested. I would of appreciated much more help with my college search and decision process, so that I wouldn't feel like I'm drowning now. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with dedicated teachers and even though it was a small school there was still many opportunities there.

High School Senior: I have gone to Buckholts I.S.D. since Pre-K, and I am now a senior in high school. I have had many, wonderful experiences take place in this school that would not have been possible in any other. Within all grades, Pre-K through 12th, there are around 180 students, and I know every single one of them. Going to a school within a small community is definitely a blessing in many ways. There are only 17 students in my class which allows me to easily be at the top of my class. I have created so many bonds with the teachers and students. Since there are not many students that attend, sports are available to almost every individual that wishes to take part in it. There are not enough girls in the High School to make a softball team, so I am allowed to be a member of the baseball team. I am a part of the batting line-up and play short stop. I probably would not have had that opportunity anywhere else. On the other hand, with less people, there is less chance of talent. It is difficult having a team that is made up of some athletic individuals and some that have no athletic ability. Also, not many scouts come to check out small schools as often. Therefore, the main reason I would choose another school, if I could start all over, is so I would have more opportunity in sports. Nevertheless, I am proud of how my school has influenced me as a person and student.

Senior: The teachers are awesome and they help out as much as they can! The teachers make sure you are understanding the lessons. Also , they try to make the lesson as easy as possible but make sure you´re actually getting work to do.
