Tuscola High School
- Tuscola Community Unit School District No. 301, IL
- Rating 3.86 out of 5 22 reviews
Senior: There are many things I love about Tuscola Community High School. Sure we have good athletic teams and excellent facilities, but what I think sets my school apart from others is the people. Throughout my high school career, I have been a part of five Varsity sports, vocal and instrumental groups, student government, drama productions, and extracurricular special interest clubs. Even though I’ve worked hard to manage my time diligently, I would not be a successful part of all of these organizations without the teachers, coaches, and students at my high school. My coaches try to schedule practices around my musical performances. My classmates support all student organizations. And as great as all of this is, the best part is the level of understanding and grace here. If I miss a rehearsal for a competition, they wish me good luck. I know many high school students attend institutions where people aren’t as accepting. I am beyond grateful that I am allowed to pursue all my interests.

- Rating 3.65 out of 5 17 reviews
Freshman: Arthur-Lovington High School is a small school, this makes the communities' relationships stronger. Most of the teachers and administration know all of the students. Each student has a place in the school whether it be in a club, sports team, or being at school every day. If you are not at school, your absence is noticed. The atmosphere of the whole school is very supportive. In classes, teachers encourage you to do your best on assignments and tests. In hallways, students keep each other on time and motivate each other to be in class. In order to help the students maintain good grades, many programs have been added. For students who struggle with completing homework at home, there is homework hang out after school so students can receive help from teachers. For students who feel uneasy when talking with their teachers, there are the math and writing centers during study hall. The centers’ mentors are upperclassmen who meet with you to help study, write essays, and complete homework.
