Junior: rising junior here! i'm having a fantastic experience at radnor so far but i'm a rich white gifted kid so that clouds my experience lol. the academics are GREAT i feel like i've learned so much and am so so prepared for college. workload can sometimes be hard to manage but overall i love my classes. i've fostered really close relationships with a lot of my teachers and i think they put a lot of effort into teaching. we also have a huge array of super fun electives. i'm a member of a couple clubs and also a club president. radnor has a load of clubs and makes it really easy to start your own which is nice, but certain activities (football) get more recognition and funding than the rest lol. my only real gripe is that the school is really white and rich and it only gets worse as the classes get smarter. i'm super unaware so i can't really speak to bullying but my friends have had problems with cliquishness.... Senior: Srath Haven is an amazing school! The counselors are very helpful in college preparation and are always there to answer questions. The majority of the staff is friendly and welcoming. The only thing that isn't the best is that there is barely any diversity amongst the students and, particularly the teachers. Senior: The last four years of Haverford have been unforgettable. The lunches are average highschool lunches. I have made connections with students, teachers, and staff that I'll never forget. I Have learned things that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I've had fun at events with friends and I've gone home at night knowing that I just made some amazing memories, thanks to Haverford High School. I am sad to leave this place but I know that they have prepared me for the real world, and for that I am always incredibly thankful. Senior: I recently transferred to Garnet Valley; however, I quickly adapted to the school with the help of the fantastic school staff and student body. I would recommend this school district to other students due to my wonderful experience there! If students and parents want to develop a unique and everlasting relationship with the culture of a school, definitely come study at Garnet. The usual experience of a high school is entirely different on the Valley's campus by being exciting and exquisite. Students will have a hard time encountering this environment elsewhere. Senior: My experience in Ridley High school is excellent. My teachers and counselors are very nice and empowering, Im involved in the TV Crew and we broadcast lots of sporting events and I even get to commentate for the football games. The community itself is very welcoming with parents, teacher, and students welcoming new people with open arms and they are very passionate in embracing their Ridley Spirit. The academic level in this school would be considered average. I just recently got inducted into the National Honors Society and it was a great experience with all the parents coming out to support their kids and congratulate them. Junior: Chester Charter School of the arts, is a great school with many opportunities. The faculty tries there best to understand the students there and what they can do to help. The school isn’t much but it’s the people in it, and that’s what makes it great. The environment is great and everyone gets along. The teachers also do there best to make sure the students get what they need even if the student doesn’t want help the teachers are always there. Senior: Interboro High School is an extremely diverse school. There's no bullying going on, and the teachers are all really helpful and friendly. They will treat you like you're their own child, and make sure you're getting the help you need. The school administrators all keep the students in mind when coming up with plans for tests, or for fun events. One thing I would like to see change is the availability of languages to learn. We used to have German, Latin, French, and Spanish. Recently we only have the love languages, Spanish and French. My favorite was German, and Latin is such an important language to learn. Senior: I transferred to Penn Wood Senior High School after my mom purchased our new home in Delaware County. This school changed my life. Prior to coming to Penn Wood, I wanted to give up on school. I was frustrated with my previous high school. Between the fights, violence, and lack of support, I felt as though I was going to be another statistic of my environment by default. When I came to Penn Wood, I felt supported. It was a great way to begin with a new start. Now I am playing on the Patriots Basketball team, I am on the Honor Roll, and I have completely changed my outlook on life and all the possibilities I have to become successful in my life. I even just received my first acceptance letter to a four-year college!! This is amazing because at one point I never even saw myself being a college student. Senior: My overall experience at Academy Park High School was interesting, to say the least. I've met many teachers who were there to help me succeed and do my best. I've met students who wanted to be my friend, but I've also met some who did not care about their education or anything, honestly. We as a school were on the news a few times for unfavorable reasons, and it made the outside perspective of our school to be looked down upon. Other: I recently just graduated from upper Darby high school. Although it does not have the best students and there is sometimes a lot of violence in the school, the administration and counselors offer amazing resources. My last year at upper Darby I had two classes and I was graduating a whole year early! I feel like a lot of schools do not offer the opportunity to graduate early in high school and I am very blessed that I got this opportunity. Senior: I can say that this school has great academics, social life, safety, and sports. This school has a friendly teacher-student relationship. The students are pretty social with each other, preventing cliche`s similar to your classic high school movies. Certain sports are more involved than others, but students attend a majority of the meets for friends or great athletes. They offer classes that many other schools don’t have anymore such as homes and technical education. Great selection of AP courses and honors class make this high school a fantastic choice for college-prep. Senior: STEM is the school I've been at for the past 4 years. I'm glad I made it in since you have to be accepted, and it's the best school in our district. There are some cons about the school, like any other, but the pros outweigh and overpower the cons. For one, we have amazing teachers. Students come and go, so though I have an amazing experience with my class of 2024 here, your experience with students might not be the same as mine. The teachers though have been here at STEM for years, and they will be even after my class graduates. You're lucky in this case, because these teachers are the most funny, kind, and smart I've ever met. Honestly the only con I can think of is the quality physically of the school. I'm satisfied with it, but we don't have a lot of funds for the school, so the quality isn't the newest.
