Jackson Senior High School
#1 Best Public High School Teachers in Cape Girardeau County
- Jackson R-II School District, MO
Alum: I believe my time as a student at Jackson Senior High is best rated as very good. I felt as if the teachers employed at this establishment were invested in the lives of their students and strived for their success. Also, there are multiple courses set in place for the diverse learning and interests of the students who are enrolled. The only thing I would change about Jackson Senior High is the money distribution between sports. Throughout my high school career, I was a member of the Jackson Spear-It Dancers. Every year the dance team was, and continues to be, expected to raise the majority of their money through fundraising, while most other sports are almost completely funded. I believe attention should be drawn to the variety of sports and clubs that are offered at Jackson Senior High, instead of all the light being shown on one or two activities. Otherwise, I feel as if this school effectively prepares students for the future and pushes academic achievement.

Leopold High School
- Leopold R-III School District, MO
Alum: Leopold is an excellent place if you are a student who enjoys a close-knit environment and a busy schedule. Students are expected to perform at a high level in all areas, whether it be academics, sports, or extracurriculars, and this has proved to be the "fire" for some students and the undoing of others.
The lack of funding makes it difficult for the school to keep up with basic educational functions, such as reliable wifi (the Internet usually doesn't work about six days out of the month), facility repair (the bathrooms flood when it rains, constant issues with heat and air, etc.), or extracurricular support.
As for diversity, the rural location of the school causes most of it's students to become very sheltered, and, as a result, close-minded. The entirety of the school population is Caucasian, conservative, and Catholic, and anyone who deviates from that norm is often met with some pushback.

Central High School
#2 Best Public High School Teachers in Cape Girardeau County
- Cape Girardeau School District, MO
Junior: I am currently a Junior at Cape Central High School and my experience here has been pretty good. I have made lots of friends, taken many honors and AP classes, and have been given the opportunity to take the ACT for free. I love most of my teachers. Some of them , I believe, are not suited to be teachers due to their poor teaching abilities and their general personality. Everything about this school is either average or great. I have overall enjoyed my three years of high school and I look forward to my senior year.

Parent: I could not be happier with our Bancroft experience! My children are academically-challenged and nurtured by teachers who truly care about each student. The school's approach to education is cutting-edge; my kids aren't just learning facts and skills, they're applying them to real-world projects all the time! Bancroft does a really good job teaching character and leadership, and I see the kindness and compassion my kids are learning at Bancroft transfer over to their time outside of school. And the specials classes can't be beat! My children have access to stellar art, drama, robotics, music, library, foreign language, and cultural opportunities. Thanks to Bancroft, my kids are hard-working, academically-advanced, kind, well-rounded, engaged with their community, and really, really excited to go to school each day!

Niche User: I love my school especially the school trips. Being in color guard which is part of the band, there is a bunch of trips to get to take. During the trips everyone gets along better than most families, including having cheesy sing-alongs where we all sing.
