Senior: My overall experience with brazoswood high school is astronomical! I’ve always loved going to brazoswood high school! The teachers are super friendly and overall so amazing. I’ve made amazing friend groups who I wouldn’t change for the world. Wouldn’t ask for a better school to have gone to for my dream high school experience. Starting off with the amount of opportunities we’ve had just from our CTE program, I’ve graduated with 2 certifications and am cpr certified. We have a class of ahout 600 and everyone is extremely nice and are super welcoming to new people. The great people ive met and spent time with I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Also the relationships I’ve got with teachers, who you can think of as your mom. Who will let you cry on your shoulders and make you feel welcomed. Senior: In the four years I've spent at manvel highschool I've gotten to know the school a lot. A couple of things I love about manvel is their diverse range of opportunities. Their partnership with jbh really helps students get in tune with what career they plan to go into by allowing them real experience in that field. I also love that they have many different clubs, there's a club for everyone! I suppose I should warn about the college readiness though, they make it very independent, but this also allows you to become more self serving of yourself and less dependent on others to do stuff for you. The food here has to be one of my least favorable things about this school unfortunately, but im biased because I prefer to bring my own lunch. Senior: ASSETS ACADEMY is unique! A good unique. This school helps me find out what I want to do with my career. The staff and teachers help everyone, not just leaving one out and confused. They even help us personally with our mental, emotional, and physical problems, they give us advice and recommendations to achieve our goals, they help our grades rise up high by giving us easy ways or slick technics to find out the solution for our problems. Senior: Glenda Dawson High School is an amazing school for students who want to further pursue a college education to prepare for it. My fellow students here at Dawson show strong leadership skills and competitive academics. Although some of the courses offered at my school can be challenging, our teachers here are very responsible, for they always make sure their students do not fall behind and be successful. My fellow students are very friendly and welcoming. Whenever you need help, just walk up to a student at our school and ask them for advice, and they will be generous to help you out. As the newest school in our school district, my school has a magnificent teaching building and wide avenues for different kinds of sports. Senior: Brazosport was a school where everyone fitted in, there wasn't someone singled out for any reason. The teaching staff was pretty good, you always managed to learn something even if it wasn't exactly on the subject. The only thing I'd like to see change at the school is the curriculum could be better and the counselors could be a better. Alum: I liked the environment of the school. My time at the high school was very memorable. It was the high school experience I was looking for. The teachers were very helpful in the success of every student. I was in band during high school, which helped a lot with my high school experience. A very diverse student body at the high school, which made it an enjoyable time due to getting to know many students with different backgrounds and cultures. The sports aspect of the school was very exciting. Pep rallies, students wanting to cheer on the schools sports teams. Very close knit school community and support from teachers and coaching staff with additional help from parent involvement. Junior: I am currently a student at Robert Turner College and Career High School, and I thoroughly enjoy my experience here. In addition to the strong academics, there are many other factors that make this school a great place to learn. For instance, the teachers are highly knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, making it easy to stay engaged in class. Senior: Well considering I moved from a 6a to a 3a my sophomore year, I really love how small the school and environment is. The whole community constantly comes together for everything. The school is also great, my graduating class consists of 64 kids. My classes range from around 8-14 kids. It’s really good for one on one with teachers. We’re a very small school so everyone knows everyone around here. I also consider myself lucky knowing I can come to school and feel safe. Many students go to school scared that they might not make it back home. You could ask anyone from Danbury and they will all tell you that we’ve never had to worry about our safety. The worst intruder we could possibly encounter would be Frank, he’s our town dog that just wanders around throughout the day. We all love frank and many students will give him water and treats. Senior: The counselors are always super helpful when it comes to finding classes. The people even though it may be crowded are outstanding and I have made many memories along the way. The school offers so many opportunities for so many different career paths ranging from JROTC programs for those wanting to go info the military to culinary classes for those that love cooking to even hotel management for those who you know want to manage a hotel! Alum: My whole 4 years at Pearland High School it was what some of us call hectic. There were days that didn’t make sense lol but there was other days that was the best day of our lives. Freshman year I started off with friends from junior high but I also lost them by the end of that year. I saw guys that I had crushes on graduate at the end of the year lol. Sophomore year I got in a “situationship” with a guy. Nonetheless it taught me more that I took into account for today’s life. Sophomore year was also the year I lost time to be a sophomore due to COVID-19. I didn’t really have a junior year because again it was COVID and school was mainly online but that’s when I was diagnosed with Anxiety like most people in high school or during that time of everyone’s life was diagnosed. But senior year was where I saw everyone’s true colors, I remained friends with people from junior high year and freshman but I also lost friends. Senior: Shadow Creek HS is an amazing school that exceeds my expectations of high school! Everything has been pretty calm and my progression through High School has been made even better with the help of the administration and teachers. All of the staff members are easy to communicate to and knowledgeable to solve everyday issues. There are so many different people at this school which means I am exposed to a wide variety of cultures. It is very intriguing to learn about other peoples ideologies and things they do that are different to what I am used to! The only thing I wish was better at this school is the lack of school spirit. I feel like a lot of other schools I have seen have much more involvement and enjoyment at their school events. Despite that small issue, I’d highly recommend Shadow Creek HS to every kid I know!...
