British International School of Houston
- Private School
- Katy, TX
- PK, K-12
Parent: Children in the British School for the last 4 years in primary. Facilities, building design are impressive. Nice, open and light, not ideal for kids that can't handle noise and lack of structure. Yes the teaching philosophy is unconventional and pioneering but that's the future. There is a revolution in education happening and BISH needs to lead or become outdated. The issue is not all schools back in the UK, private or public, are following the same and that is where gaps will inevitably be an issue. This unconventional approach supports innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and collaboration. Some amazing teaching staff but not all, this situation exists in all schools. Some bullying but this exists in all schools. Positively BISH is taking a parent/student led approach to bullying and policy. Improve on the sports program with more focus on sports development at grass roots level. Encourage more competition at the primary level, competing against other primary schools.

15 Best Public Elementary School Teachers in Texas
- Public School
- San Antonio, TX
Parent: We have three children at EKHLA and feel very strongly that they are getting a stellar education. Over the last five years we have had wonderful teachers and only one (who no longer works there) that was not up to par. The students are nurtured, supported and respected and they are held to high standards both in their behavior and in their academics. The coursework is rigorous as is the homework, but their teachers are always ready and willing to spend extra time outside of school to tutor their students. The Principal is honest and doesn't mince words, yet the students love her warmth and personal attention. To top it all off, they are learning Hebrew daily, which is just the cherry on top. We are very happy at EKHLA.

BASIS San Antonio Primary - Medical Center Campus
- BASIS San Antonio Medical Center, TX
Freshman: Basis is an extremely rigorous school that prepares you for college. It offers a variety of classes and the courses are difficult. A change I would like to see made is the cost of joining extracurriculars to be lowered. The school is a charter school but ,due to the difficult courses that one would have to engage in, most students often drop out of the school resulting in smaller classes and better one on one relations with the teachers.

Lakeside Elementary School
17 Best Public Elementary School Teachers in Texas
- Coppell Independent School District, TX
- PK, K-5
Parent: Having relocated to the DFW area, we were somewhat concerned about leaving our children's former elementary school behind because of how great the school and the district were. We found the Coppell ISD and specifically Lakeside Elementary from across the country, but what we read about fails to paint an adequate picture. Every aspect of Lakeside, from its teachers and administration to the kids who attend, is exemplary! We could not have found a better school. The sense of community put forth by the school and the families in the area is as great as the school itself. Our children are enthusiastic about learning and the teachers are quick to help when something isn't readily understood. The kids are welcoming, kind, and respectful to one another and Lakeside goes to great lengths to develop their character as well as their minds. Our family is so very happy that we chose Lakeside! We cannot recommend Lakeside and the Lakeside community enough. Go Longhorns!
