Extremely dedicated principal who deeply cares for all of her students and staff members.

Alum: When to school there when it first opened in 2002. Great school back then but I hear things have changed since the principle left. Some original teachers switched schools too. Lots of parent involvement. Small classes sizes.

Parent: MBFS offers an exceptional learning opportunity to children from K to 8th grade. The principal, the staff and the teachers are committed to providing an excellent education to the children. You can tell they truly care and are dedicated to their mission. It is a beautiful waterfront campus where kids can look at from some of the classrooms and see dolphins. The boardwalk and coastal habitat is unique and educational. I would recommend this school to anyone.

Alum: Cypress Woods is a small, close knit elementary school seated in East Lake, Florida among suburbia. The teachers are dedicated, and the classes are small enough for students to receive individual teaching. The food is pretty good for a public school, and there's a lot of parent involvement. The art and music classes are good to create interest in the arts. The gifted program is amazing, and the projects for the honors students really challenge them. Cypress does lack diversity. Due to almost every student being white, Christian and middle class, anyone different is immediately visible. This often leads to some bullying, which administration tends to handle very poorly. One thing of note is their programs. Cypress Woods has SEM, a program where kids choose a hobby or "major" if you will, and spend an hour each week participating in fun activities revolving around aforementioned hobby.

Parent: My daughter attends this school and overall it is a honor and privilege be affiliated with such an amazing educational system. My daughter attends her first year in Kindergarten and I could not ask for anything more from a public school. Coming from in home program I really did not know what to expect when I was registering her but as soon as I stepped foot on the property everything made perfect sense. The administration staff was so helpful and dedicated to making this experience smooth and comfortable as possible for me and my daughter. We both had anxiety but it was quickly put to ease with the staff's answers and hospitality.
