Alum: Great elementary school! Committed teachers and great culture.
Klinkerfues, Grimes, Phenna, McGinnis, and Gilmor were standouts.
The school does suffer with integration of the GT program- only art/music/PE classes are combined, which caused serious alienation when I was there.
The GT program also did a VERY poor job emphasizing hard work over natural talent. Study skills, time management, and perseverance were barely taught. My GT peers had to either do the painful learning curve of middle school/high school/college (realizing that you can't just coast by on being smart) or they fell off academically. About a third of the GT kids are really excelling in high school, and the remaining kids are about 1/4 normal students and 3/4 druggies on the verge of dropping out.... Read 1 review
