Parent: The administration and teachers and staff are in the best interest of all students. A very community driven school. Annsville has great resources and tries to meet the needs of all of their students. This school holds many community events, fueled by the passion and love of the administration, teachers, staff, students and PTO. This is a great school for kids Pre k to fourth grade in the Camden School District. The playground and alligator fountain are well kept for students to use on recess. Special areas have their own classroom and rotate on a schedule.

Forestport Elementary School
14 Best Public Elementary School Teachers in Oneida County
- Adirondack Central School District, NY
- PK, K-5
Alum: I went to school when I was little. I enjoyed the assemblies we had at the end of every month and the annual holiday events. These events include Harvest Festival, Christmas Party, Christmas Concert, Winter Carnival, and Fun Day. The teachers are nice and friendly where I would recommend them to anyone.

- Private School
- Hoosick, NY
Parent: We transferred jr year from to Hoosac(specifically for their academic program and school spirit) and they made the transition incredibly smooth & pleasant! My daughter came out of her shell at Hoosac and was filled with school pride for her school.More importantly, I have told many parent since the switch I wish I’d done it earlier because their academic program is unparalleled! They start in Jr High with college prep, SAT’s and preparing our kids to become adults. What a student completes in on year at other high schools, they complete in one semester. That notion scared us at first but, again, the teachers there made it easy for her/us! The teachers, counselors and staff are always caring, accessible and the communication is top notch!
I am incredibly grateful we made the switch!

Emma Willard School
- Private School
- Troy, NY
Senior: Emma Willard has a rigorous academic program that gave me plenty of opportunities to develop as a student and a person. There are plenty of resources on campus for academic help, whether it be through student tutors or the teachers themselves, who are often available during study hall. The students I learn alongside are some of the most intelligent, and have pushed me to become the best I am today.
The student body's awareness of social justice issues is also remarkable. In response, Emma has held events and discussions revolving around these issues, resulting in profound and rewarding conversations that I am grateful for.
I will say the lack of diversity in faculty is somewhat disappointing, considering the wide range of diversity among students. Additionally, the dining options have become redundant, having been a boarder for a few years here.
Overall, Emma Willard provides students with many fantastic opportunities—so long as you're willing to take advantage of them.
