Parent: The main thing I would like to see more of is contact from teachers. Since Covid-19, the contact and responses from my child’s teachers have been minimal. I feel that parents are “not heard” if he/she is not contributing time at the schools. There are many parents that work all day, like myself, and are not able to volunteer at the schools as much as we would like. I barely have time to go over homework at the end of my day. When my older children were younger, I was constantly at the school volunteering, because I was able to at that time, and I didn’t have this disconnect from the teachers then. There were a few instances where my child was not accelerating academically, and I heard nothing from the teacher, but when the behavior is bad, I get a call. I know this isn’t every teacher, but it did, and does happen. I understand that teachers have families, so I don’t expect them to spend time after hours contacting parents, and I don’t have a resolution, I’m just giving my opinion.... Read 18 reviews
