Senior: Being a student at Mansfield High school was an overall great experience for me. Teachers at this school are very flexible and they all want to do what is best for students. Teachers are available for extra help like staying after school for students, being available through email, and giving extra resources to help students, like online teaching videos. Mansfield High school has a large variety of clubs and electives that people can take during school and after. An example of one of these diverse clubs we have is a travel club where each year, juniors get to travel with their teachers to another country. One of the interesting electives I took this year was environmental issues, and we are learning about different issues in our world like climate change. There are different academic levels for everyone at this school. We have College prep, Honors, and AP classes. I would hug it suggest Franklin high or public schools to any student looking to achieve academic and athletic success . Parent: I like the school course choices. I like the athletic department lots of choices to ply sports. Loved the strength and conditioning class. Music department great.Teachers are very helpful with school work. Would change the lunch menu. Would like to see them to help students who are on sports team .With there homework like not so much. I think more students would go out for sports if they did something. Like have a group study hall before practice to help students who are strangling.But to ashamed to ask for help. I know in college the have other team mates help students out.And students who have hard time with testing .give them a little easier test.And students who don’t like doing getting up in front of class to do a presentation because of anxiety and fear.Let them do a test or something else. Parent: The school has very dedicated teachers and the principal is very down to earth. They have a lot of extracurricular activities and my kid enjoys going there every single day! Food at the cafeteria si good and it comes at a reasonable price :) I LOVE the fact that the school is secular (let's not force kids into one person's belief, let them find their ways and keep the diversity). Senior: I have had a good experience at North Reading High School. The academics are very good with many options to choose from. The teachers are always available for extra help whenever you need it and always very supportive. It is a small school, so all the teachers really know their students well. Sadly, there here is not much diversity in the school due to the population of North Reading. The entire town could benefit from more diversity. I have participated in school sports my entire high school career. The sports are decent for a small school and offer some competition. Alum: Nashoba Public Schools changed my childhood. From a young kid moving from Fort Wayne, Indiana, I was nervous. Nashoba Public Schools welcomed me with open arms. They took me as one of their own. When I first attended middle school at Luther Burbank, I knew absolutely no one. Life was tough at home for me at the time as well. I didn't live in a home, I lived in a condo until we were forced out, then we moved with my aunt. Although my house life wasn't steady for awhile, one thing was, and that was Nashoba. Nashoba's academics prepared me as well for the toughness of college work .Nashoba's teachers and learning disabilities services were saints to me. They were by my side always wether it was with school work or when I was having a tough time in my personal life. Nashoba is also a great place filled with outstanding kids. Junior: Wayland High School is a school that prepares you for college. The teachers help you with understanding independent work, while still letting you figure it out on your own, prepping you for how life is like outside of high school. The arts programs are excellent, however the sports aren't very highly-rated. The school has a small student body, however this allows for a more tight-knit academic community. Academic-wise, the classes offered push students for full comprehension. AP classes aren't offered until Junior year, excluding AP Computer Science in sophomore year. Senior: I liked the community that I was a part of in the RMHS marching band. We had 4 month season that started in the summer and continued until Nov. It included summer band camp, performing at football games, parades and most importantly competitions. I met all my close friends in the band and have great memories of all or our experiences. One thing I would like change is the amount of freedom that was given during our senior year. Junior: Throughout my experience at Foxborough High School, I have appreciated a hands on, diverse curriculum. This has helped me to develop critical thinking skills, social abilities, and how to act in a professional environment. Over the years, I have grown into a young, mature woman. Looking back, the only aspect I might change is how teachers deal with negative situations. Many times I have seen students act disrespectful towards a member of the faculty or another student. Sophomore: I’ve been in Tewksbury my whole life and I have met a lot of great people and the teachers really care about their students. Only problems I’ve had are with communication from administrators and the resources we are made aware of for our future. While those two negatives are relatively significant, the friends I have made make up for it. If you end up attending TMHS take advantage of all the clubs they offer and try something new. Senior: The Andover Public School system includes rigorous education for students of all levels. The faculty is very talented, and has passion for their jobs-- they do a great job watching out for the student body. One of my biggest critiques of the system is that the high school is far to small for the population of students. This leads to crammed classes and hallways. This was a big problem during the pandemic, because it was hard to make proper space for social distancing. Something the school system does well is preparing students for college through the tougher than average courses. AP and honors teachers hold students to a high standard, with the explanation of preparing students for college. The athletics are top-tier at Andover, and many of the sports teams make it to the state playoffs every year.
