Parent: As a working parent of two students during the pandemic, I would have to say that Wyoming has done a tremendous job balancing safety for both students and staff along with maintaining excellent instruction for all students, whether in-person, remote or hybrid. We have always been impressed with the quality of the teachers our children have had in the classroom. This year they have all risen to the challenge and our students (3rd and 6th grade) have continued to learn and progress despite the plethora of challenges presented by the pandemic. The approach of educating the "whole child" is evidenced by the inclusion of the extraordinary arts and music programs within the curriculum. The community itself is a pleasant place to live and the neighborhoods are safe. We have been residents since 2014 and have no regrets with our decision to move here.... Read 14 reviews

Middle School Student: As a student at this school, Indian Hill has provided me with numerous educational opportunities, provided me a safe place to learn, and has proven to be an excellent school overall. There is little to no bullying or social conflict, the facilities are superb, and the academics are strong. The reason I put only 4 stars is that Indian Hill is not for everyone. Let me make this very clear. About 90% of the students in the school are affluent, white, and somewhat sheltered. Most students are unaware of any world beyond the 10 miles radius of their house. Being a person of color at this school is also very alienating, but not as much as lack of privilege. There are kids in my class who complain about having to fly to Florida in commercial first-class instead of a private plane, who have never cleaned a kitchen or a bathroom. This of course is not everyone, but it is normal to have a maid at home. If you don't like being around kids like that, Indian Hill isn't the best choice.... Read 44 reviews

Junior: I like how it’s such a big school but when you walk down the hall you know everyone. I really like our athletic program and how each sport is connected with giving each other gifts/cards. I really like all the teachers who encourage us to try our best! The lunch room is a really fun place where we can have our break in the day and eat and talk to our friends, I like having circle tables. Our guidance office is really great, they’re always open to see someone about any issue. They also will change your schedule Really quick if you have a problem with it. I like how my school is separated by classes (math, science, English, history section) this makes it easier to find where classes are. The show choir puts on performances during school and that is always fun! Junior: My experience with Winton Woods High School by far has been the best school experience I've ever had. To be more specific, the school faculty are caring and cater to your educational needs. The counselors work with students to aquire the academic requirements students must have to graduate, while simultaneously offers essential advice. Furthermore, they work with teachers and parents to figure out what are the best ways to help students succeed. Another component that I find fascinating about Winton Woods is the system they use. The school uses group based learning, which gets students ready to work in a group environment. Also, they offer therapy and accommodations to students the need it. Personally, I find the clubs/activities at Winton Woods astonishing. I have always wanted to participate in after school activities. Senior: I’ve been in the Princeton District my whole life. It really is amazing, we have well-funded organizations, well-spoken staff and well-taken care of areas. We take in good people and make people better here. Dealing with all kinds of people is also great, the diversity is amazing. Doing what you love is encouraged here as well. It’s great knowing there are people on your side and people who care about what you want to do. Who you are a person is welcome, “come as you are” they say! Senior: I love the Cincinnati City School district. I just wish there more sports, like I attend Hughes STEM High School, and I would have loved a soccer team. Other than that, they have classes that actually prepare you for college, and you can take college classes that allow you to get college credit while still being in High School which is an amazing opportunity. It doesn't cost anything, so the only thing you need to do is keep your grades up! They offer so many programs, the school is very accepting, and everyone here knows each other closely. It's a close-knit family, and it's something I will never forget. Hughes also offers different pathways for students which are Health, I.T, Engineering, and Zoo. I am currently in Health taking the School-to-work program which allows me to work in the TriHealth hospital closely with doctors that allow me to see into the future career I wanted. Senior: I love Oak Hills. The staff members are so nice and always so friendly. People who say they do not like Oak Hills just don't try to get out there and talk with the staff members. There are a lot of people who share the same interests and goals as me and Oak Hills likes to put people together to succeed. Sophomore: I am currently attending a school within the Northwest Local School District. The school is Northwest High School, it is a great school offering many academic opportunities for students. Including AP courses, CCP, and Honors. There are people who attend the school, of all races, religions, and backgrounds. While this is a good school there is one thing I do think could change. One of these things being the school lunches. Many people (including me) say that the food they serve is an issue since most isnt preferably good. Parent: We moved from rural Kentucky, (90 minutes away), for my son to attend a school with more resources for AUTISM. He transferred to Sycamore from a private Cincinnati Autism school where he attended from 1st grade-7th grade. We held him back upon transfer, so he started in 6th grade and went from having a full-time aide in 6th grade, to no aide in 7th grade. (Spanish 7th grade teacher quickly realized my son's unique abilities in languages and was instrumental in achieving this). His testing scores raised from 2 grade levels behind his peers to almost proficient in his grade level in reading comprehension, his biggest struggle. He has stated that he would rather be at school because he truly enjoys the atmosphere and inclusiveness. He bowls on the bowling team, skis with the ski club, and loves the choir! Senior: I give Mt. Healthy High School 4 stars. I have been enrolled at Mt. Healthy since 7th grade. Most of the time, my experience is positive. The teachers are nice and they care that their students learn something. Senior: As a student who is about to graduate this year I can say they now have wide selection of electives that you can choose between from which I find the list to be very excellent give a range from Home/College 101 to Forensic Science to the Arts! In high school you’ll most likely be prepared for life outside of school with the range of electives. I only give it 4/5 because of the fact that teachers and staff will have favorites and majority of the time it’s the “preps” of the school and school lunches have been fluctuating between being good to not so very good..... Middle School Student: NCH is a nice school! It is alot of fun! WE get rewarded for good behavior and we have fun pep rallies! I would totally recommend you send your kids to Nch. Alum: The Reading school district is fairly small, and it shows. However, while Reading may not be a massive school with opportunities around every corner, it is nonetheless a respectable and generally solid place to receive one's high school education. By and large, the teachers are dedicated, friendly, and knowledgable. The administration is helpful and fair. Clubs and sports, while limited due to the size of the school, are present for those who wish to seek them out. The facilities have been massively improved due to the construction of the new building. Overall, it's hard to complain about my experience with Reading. Senior: As a student at Lockland, I must say overall a great school with great class sizes. Students will feel welcomed just like at their own homes. They have a good selection of classes. They have a great variety of classes also. The high school teachers are great. They are very caring and involved in your learning. You just have to be willing to learn. They love students that are willing to learn and do the right things. Once a month they give out rewards to students who showed pride in the school as students which motivate you to do better. It's always something to look forward to at Lockland. With Lockland being a small community surrounded popular schools like Wyoming and Princeton not many children attend Lockland High-school. I live in Lockland so Lockland was my top choice. Lockland now have open enrollment, So if you live outside of the radius you can still apply to lockland. Students come from everywhere. Alum: Ive been there since kindergarten and graduated in 2018. It is small and has a good amount of support in the community. In the schools you will find that 90% of the teachers are engaged with teaching students and life lessons. Many of them have been offered positions elsewhere but wanted to stay while others want to share their experience. During my senior year Finneytown started the housesystem which further helps students get involved have fun and become a community through competition. The housesystem taught me lessons on camaraderie and leadership. As seniors the lower classes looked up to us and I’m glad to have been able to make friends with people that I otherwise wouldn’t have made.
