Parent: Ranked 70th in Texas and 453rd in the nation, Valle Verde ECHS easily outscored other early college high schools within the city. Valle Verde has won numerous recognitions in recent years, including being named a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School, 2019 Texas Honor Roll School, 2019 AVID Site of Distinction, and 2019-2022 Apple Distinguished School. Valle Verde Early College High School is a highly rated. It has 389 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 21 to 1. This school is the perfects school any student can ever imagine! This is my second year here and all of us, including the teachers, are just like a family. We not only get to graduate with two diplomas, but we also have normal high school experiences like homecoming, prom, spirit week, etc. The variety of clubs we have allows everyone to explore their interests, and if not, it's easy to start a club of your own! I love VVECHS and even after i graduate, i will remain a Spartan forever.

Senior: My experience with Socorro Independent School District has been amazing! I strongly believe is a district that really cares about every single one of their students and makes sure they get the best education. This school district has made sure that we get all the opportunities that we can get by supplying us with many activities, clubs, electives, and supplies like laptops, online activities and many more. Another thing I admire from SISD is their teachers and Staff who are really hard working and passionate about their job and they had inspired me to not only continue with college after high school but to want to major in Education and be part of that amazing key to the future which is education.

Senior: San Elizario high school is an average high school but with amazing teachers who try to keep the students entertained while learning and do really good jobs of teaching the students, some thing I would like to see improve is more support to every extra curricular activity and less favoritisms to some sports, but besides that San Elizario is a very good school that try’s really hard to help each student pass and learn skills that will not only make them better people but also prepare the students for their next step in life. San Elizario high school is also a really great school because the school will not allow a student to graduate if they haven’t applied to colleges and taken their tsi or sat.

Senior: I have been attending the Clint Independent School District for about 12 years and I am proud to say that I will be graduating from this district in 2021. For elementary, I attended Frank Macias from Pre-K to 3rd grade and that was the best experience as a child since that is the stage were you are afraid to make a new change and that school made me create my confidence. My 5th and 6th grade were taken part in Carol T. Welch and there my enthusiasm of reaching an academic goal began. For middle school, I attended Horizon Middle School and Ricardo Estrada Junior high, in those stages I learnt how to appreciate my self thanks to my counselors, they lead me to the path that I am in today. Lastly, High School was the hardest decision in my whole life! I could not decide if to attend Horizon High School or Clint Early College. But, guess what? I Chose the early college and I am so grateful that I had the chance to finish high school and college at the same time.

Sophomore: The Fabens Independent School District is phenomenal. I really fell in love with this small school's spirit and student-teacher support. The teachers are very supportive and will do everything in their power to help you succed. The students are also very welcoming and will cheer you on! Although I enjoy this school very much, there are some things it can improve on. Fabens is a small town and this school has a very limited financial budget leaving the students with few extracurricular activities. It would be nice to have other opportunities as well for students who are not into sports and are more work-focused. Despite of these small delimas, this school is great and is highly recommended.

Works Here: Anthony ISD is one of the top districts in Region 19! We are a Title One school but our students perform at a high level academically. Safety, especially during this pandemic, is a priority. We have invested a great deal of money to keep our students safe (electro-magnetic doors, School-Check In system, new security guards and District Safety Manager, cameras, and lots of PPE due to COVID-19). Our salaries are among the highest in all the region and it reflects in our teacher quality. Finally, we have awesome administrators who truly care about providing the best education possible to our community's children.

Senior: One thing I liked about Canutillo Independent School District, is that it was a small district. As I transitioned to middle and high school I felt so close to everyone because I grew up around the same people. Watching how each and every one of us changed served as eye opener and empowering experience. Even though some of my friendships did not last I still acknowledge and appreciate some of the people who were a part of my life. All of the teachers and staff that worked in the district were all amazing and showed that they truly loved what they did. Through the years I felt motivated and inspired to work hard and I could not have made it through without my supportive environment. Graduating and leaving my school will be sad but I loved all the memories I made at each and every school. I will never forget the hardworking and loyal teachers and staff who made an impact on my life. Overall I love this district and I am grateful to have been a part of this loving and welcoming community.

Senior: Coming from a public school, Harmony is probably one of the best high school experiences I've ever gotten in terms of education and environment. Since It's a small school, everyone lives like a family which is a plus point! Harmony provides a numerous amount of college prep opportunities which helps you gain college experience while still being a high school student. You get to take dual credit classes at HCC and Lone Star and feel like a college student! Furthermore, the diversity within this school is crazy! All cultures, races and religions come to one when it comes to maintaining equality and respect.

Senior: Solid school overall. Lots of opportunities. I'm a current senior, and I can really attest to the great faculty and administration--especially the college counselling team. They actively reach out to you to make sure you're on track and inform you about all the minor details that need to be payed attention to in the all too stressful application process. The teachers here are responsive and caring towards students' various needs.

The only gripe I have is the clubs. Don't join them. Like others have mentioned, the clubs here are merely application padders for college. Often times, they'll claim an agenda for the future, which never ends up coming to fruition.
