Corcoran High School
- Corcoran Joint Unified School District, CA
- Rating 3.72 out of 5 167 reviews
Senior: Corcoran High School has very good teachers who work hard with the students each day. The teachers are not only concerned about the student's education but also with their well-being. One thing that I think needs improvement is that in previous years, the school district focused too much on attendance and having the students be at school rather than focusing on the student's health. For example, there were several times that I went to school sick because I was worried about my attendance knowing that it would affect my participation in my sports and also my graduation status. Other than this, Corcoran High School is a great school.

Senior: My experience at Avenal High School was pretty good to average. We didn’t have much diversity but it’s what you did and were involved in that made it fun. Just spending time with my friends and being part of FFA was a key highlight of my high school years. I ended up working at my school cafeteria which I ended up really loving because of my fellow employees , boss, and the joy I got out of working. That helped me out quite a bit financially even if I wasn’t getting payed a lot. I was also part of a program connected to Wonder Pistachios and Almonds which led me to be a dual enrolled high school student taking college classes all my 4 years and summers as well. This program will allow me to receive my AST in Plant Science in May of 2020. Over all, how I spent my time in different programs, clubs, and sports is what made my high school life great and worthwhile.
