Junior: I like the small community and how the community supports the school. I enjoy how every student is involved in some short of activity. I would like Shiner to have a better understanding of athlete injuries in the coaching staff

Nixon-Smiley High School
#938 Best Public High Schools in Texas
- Nixon-Smiley Consolidated Independent School District, TX
- Rating 3.17 out of 5 12 reviews
Junior: The school needs to be more open to new things and actually push for those things to happen, instead of giving up or having no faith in the kids. About half of the teachers don't want to be there, and therefore don't teach their students well. Some teachers, though, are fantastic. They want to raise the kids up to a new level and do everything they can for the kids, but the administration limits their involvement. Some of that has to do with American culture, but some of it is just plain cowardice.

Moulton High School

- Rating 4.17 out of 5 6 reviews
Alum: In my experience at Moulton High I met so many great people, staff and non staff. I loved every minute of it . I moved to Moulton at a tough point in my life. Mrs. Dornak and Mrs. Ressler were great help to me, they made adjusting to my new surroundings a breeze. The teachers were great, I loved that they have time for each and every student if needed. I've been to many different schools but I feel like Moulton was the best one. I only spent half of my senior year there but if I could've I would've moved there sooner.

Senior: I love yoakum highschool. My dad went to school here and I’ve lived in yoakum my whole life. When I first got into highschool it was different from what I was used to but the faculty was very nice and helped me get comfortable. All my teachers were great and very involved with their students due to the fact that we have a smaller school. I’m close to all my teachers and coaches. They all what the best for their students. Through sports I met a lot of new friends that I’ll be friends with my whole life. Yoakum high school is a great school and I want my kids to go there.
