Senior: Going to George West High School will forever be memorable for me. Here in our community and school, we are one big family. We have top of the line resources, great facilities and great teachers. We have many organizations and outstanding UIL teams which never fall short of success. I know all of my teachers on a personal level, like most of our students, which makes learning easier and more fun. We always do hands- on activities and never fall short in meeting goals. Along with that, George West High School had many friendships to offer; I will hold on to these friendships in the years to come. Academically speaking, my high school has definitely prepared me for college and I am so eager to apply what I have learned here in college next year!

Parent: Wonderful school, administrators, teachers, coaches and staff! Great students with hard-working teachers! Banquete ISD has three well-staffed, safe schools and great programs that get the community involved in their safety programs. I believe they get overlooked by the state for funding programs as they have such high grades and attendance and should get awarded more for their achievements.

Senior: I liked that everyone knew everyone in this small town school but what I would like to see change is how they prepare students for life after high school. For example, don't just teach students how to pass a STARR assessment exam teach students how college is gonna be and how to survive without living with a parent. Add a class where students can learn basic life skills because that's what they are gonna struggle with when they leave high school. I also feel as if they care more about how we represent our school then what the students are actually learning.
