Senior: HJ is amazing! It's the best school in the area by a long shot. HJ has teachers that truly love and care about students by taking the time to know them. They are always willing to lend a hand! Students at HJ are (most of the time) well-behaved. This is due to the school's strict "Zero-Tolerance" policy. Attending HJ will not only make you a better student but a better person. As a graduating senior, I highly recommend Hardin-Jefferson for a good education and learning environment.

Sophomore: Starting out small and ending big! West Hardin is a very small school in Saratoga, Texas. I have always gone to school here and plan to graduate in the same place. It’s been one great experience starting from kindergarten all the way up to the tenth grade. I’ve had lots of opportunities opened up to me by the West Hardin FFA and the West Hardin High School Golden Pride Marching Band. I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for this amazing school. We may not be the best at what we do but we’re getting it done and getting better in the process. This school is growing and has great things coming for it. I have big plans for after I graduate and I know I can get them done even in this small school. Being in a tiny school is like being in a BIG family. We have our ups and downs and not everyone likes each other but there’s never a dull moment at West Hardin. Can’t wait for the upcoming opportunities and exciting events we have coming our way!

Senior: The faculty and staff try to be involved with the students and are always trying to have something that they would think would be fun for the students. It is a very small school and it has a decent atmosphere. There are many different classes that are offered to further the knowledge of the student, possibly in the field of study for the degree the student wants to pursue. The school offers medical classes for students that want to pursue the medical field and a retired nurse teachers the medical classes and knows what she is teaching about. There are welding classes and shop classes that will give the student life skills that will be useful. If there were a few things that I had to change, it would be some of the faculty at the school because some of the teachers and even administrators make the school an undesirable place. Some teachers do not understand that some students learn differently than others and do it all one way and will not accept any other way.
