Sophomore: An amazing school, and is much easier to get help on academics than it would in a bigger school. The sports are a great chance for a student to get playing time. Our boys baseball program has been to state, and our girls softball program have even won state. Two of our varsity softball girls have been recruited to a college, within this year! The facilities in our school are very clean, and regularly well kept. Also, the teachers are more than willing to give extra help that is needed, for all of their student. It is just a matter of putting in the work. There is a wide variety of clubs to choose from from DECA, Chess club, FCCLA, etc. The only ¨down falls" I would say our school has, is the food. There is not a wide selection, and sometimes between the 2 options. One will run out before all of the students can choose.

High School Senior: This is a small school with some big achievements. We've been to state in several UIL events from Computer Science to Choir, with winners in both. Participating in both of these UIL events through the years was some of my favorite experiences.

Senior: Honestly I would have to say that Newton school district is definitely an amazing school for a small community. I have been attending newton since I was in pre-k and through my years of elementary, middle-school and high school I would say that these year are the best years of my life. The teachers in our schools are amazing because us as students create bonds with the teachers and we have memories in the classroom that will stay with us through college. Now that I am a senior in high school I still find myself reminiscing on my past experiences with newton. I do this because they were some of the best memories I have. The most impacting experience with Newton High school would have to be Athletics for sure. Not only did athletics help me grow as a person, but it taught me discipline, teamwork, leadership as well as how to have tough skin. Many of these characteristics are very important to have in your future, and I have newton high school to thank for that.
