Alum: This school is very good. The staff are all very caring and are willing to make sure students are ready for college or whatevef lies ahead for them. There is no bullying, and anything that does happen is taken care of quickly and discreetly. The layout of the school is very good as well. The overall appearance both inside and out makes people feel quite at home and safe. I would recommend this school 100%!

Middle School Student: It has so much to give! I am always learning where ever I go. I love my main classes and all my extra classes that are offered. The food is amazing. But the best part is the staff. They are all so kind and caring. They know if something is wrong and always know what to do to help. I can always trust them with anything. They truly make the school amazing.

Senior: I do enjoy attending this school, but I would like more opportunities for classes. For example, for juniors and seniors, they should have classes as a elective that relates to the majority of their major they choose to see if they enjoy the major.

Centennial Junior/Senior High School
#102 Best Public High Schools in Nebraska

Senior: I had a great experience at Centennial personally, but I know others did not. The teachers are very friendly but like to pick favorites based on your last name and how well you do at sports. It is a very sport driven school. The music and arts are often forgot about and always get the short end of the stick. We have many talented artists that are never appreciated. It is really sad to see the lack of funding for these programs. The school is more on the small side with an average of 35 kids per class. With small schools, you don't have many college classes or advanced classes. This makes college readiness difficult. A perk about the small school, although, is the community. Everyone knows you and you have a lot of support from fellow students, teachers, parents, etc.

Alum: I am an alumni from York High School and I really enjoyed all four years of YHS. The teachers are awesome and friendly and easy to talk to. They really try to prepare you for your future and tell you how important a lot of things you learn in high school are for the future. They extracurriculare activities that YHS offers are awesome and each one succeeds very well. The sports groups are very successful and the athletes are very dedicated because of how much fun they have and the coaching! The faculty at YHS are very good at what they do and they really care about each and every student there and their success. They made it evident to me, when I was there, that my future is important to them and that they were going to be there if I ever needed help with anything. The relationships that are made there are great too.

Exeter-Milligan High School

Senior: The most appealing part of Exeter-Milligan is the culture and family feel. You become very close with fellow students from all grades, but you also build bonds with teachers, staff, and people from the community. The one thing I would change at Exeter-Milligan would be to raise the importance of academics and extracurriculars. Athletics are obviously the priority at Exeter-Milligan. Although that can be a good thing, academics need to be acknowledged, too.

McCool Junction Junior/Senior High School

Senior: I have been going to this school for five years now, and it is very different than the other schools I have been to. You feel like you're at home, that you have a second family you can count on. Walking in to school every day to see all of the staff and students, each with their own personality, it really does make you feel like you fit in. The teaching here is great, except I would like to see more of the one on one help with the students. At McCool Junction Junior/Senior High School, I would like to see more classes that help the graduating seniors move on into the real world. To tell them about the communication skills needed, the financial situations, and just general life skills that are needed for every day living.
