McGregor Secondary School
#231 Best Public High Schools in Minnesota
- McGregor Public School District, MN
- Rating 4.33 out of 5 9 reviews
Senior: I really enjoy how the teachers are very involved in the students. But there is a lack of respect from the students to not only each other but towards the teachers. I also would like to see long class periods for classes, rather then short periods. I don't feel like I had enough time each day to absorb the information, with the time provided, especially with the new homeroom system. This is a good school but I wish there could be little things changed about the environment to make it more personal to the student to respect and value the school their going to.

Isle Secondary School
- Isle Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.33 out of 5 21 reviews
Senior: Isle high school is where I have gone to school my whole life and I am fond of the school. In northern Minnesota, we aren't exposed to much diversity therefor giving this school a bad review on diversity. Our test scores are about average, but that comes with a small student sample size. For students like me who are interested in getting a good education, our teachers and administration are ready to help. With small classes the material is easy to learn. We also have many options for CIS through Central Lakes College, which can give us free college credit and an opportunity to experience college classes while still in high school. We have a safe community and I wouldn't be against having my kids attend Isle high school.

Hinckley-Finlayson Secondary School
- Hinckley-Finlayson School District, MN
- Rating 2.95 out of 5 19 reviews
Senior: Hinckley-Finlayson high has helped shape me as an adult and the staff is super supportive of me and my academic and personal goals. The staff has used many unique teaching methods over my 13 years of schooling all the way from pre-k to now my senior year and it always helps in the classroom so students can stay alert and attentive. And with the pandemic it caused everyone to shift to online learning and the teachers had to shift their classes to fit an online format in the blink of an eye but all of the staff managed to meet and exceed the challenges of distance learning and then transitioning to hybrid to distance to hybrid to full time in person learning again. This school may have some flaws that other students or parents have noticed but for me I have experienced nothing but excellent learning and help from my teachers even though all of them are exhausted day in and day out they always give their best efforts and make the school day enjoyable.

Willow River Secondary School
- Willow River Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.22 out of 5 18 reviews
Senior: Everybody in the community and in the school are very friendly and always give a hand when somebody is in need. The teachers are always able to help out students due to small class sizes and make all of the work manageable, yet challenging enough to learn properly.
