Parent: I had all six of my children go through this school. It’s a wonderful, happy and orderly environment for learning. The ratio of teachers to students provides individual attention for each student. It’s a good place for students to develop a solid foundation for success at the high school and college levels. My kids turned out great, and I attribute much of their success in adulthood to learning how to live in an orderly system and develop responsibility for self. They learned this at Franklin Elementary School. I’m glad I could drop into my child’s classroom at any time. They welcomed parent volunteers, and I often ate lunch at school with my kids. Good memories there... band concerts, field trips, pak rat reading challenge, track and field days, grandparents day... the list goes on and on.... Read 1 review

Senior: I really value the Christian education that I've received here, this shows up not only in the religion classes but also in the way the teachers act towards the students. We receive individual help and understanding with our troubles, they are always willing to listen and are generally really lenient with deadlines when something comes up. The thing that I would improve would be a shift in emphasis when it comes to what we actually learn in science and social studies. Right now, there is a lot of stress that's put upon memorization rather than gaining knowledge, when a student doesn't understand something we are often told to review material and memorize what we don't know. Junior: Overall, this is a very good high school. East has a wide range of classes to choose from and multiple extracurricular activities. There is surely something for everyone. The school also has a lot of diversity in its students and staff, which is amazing. With distance learning, it has been hard on teachers to give lessons and for students to learn. Like most schools at this time, that complicated transition to distance is difficult. Parent: Excellent teachers who genuinely care about their students. Many parent teacher conferences to discuss your child’s strengths and things they need to work on. Many opportunities for different extracurricular activities. Parents and teachers can easily contact one another through the Seesaw app. Smaller class sizes makes it better for your child to get more one on one attention, along with a class helper for each classroom. Junior: St. Clair is a very nice high school with friendly staff and students. It is a smaller school with about 50-60 kids per grade. I really like the small town and its community. The students receive one-on-one attention from the teachers which is very helpful. All the students know each other and it is a safe and familiar environment for the students to learn in. The one thing I would change about St. Clair is that we have fewer class options due to the small size of our school, so I would want more elective options for students to gain new experiences and explore career options. Also, our chemistry program is not very well developed and that is a hurdle I will have to overcome in college as a student seeking education in STEM. Although the small school atmosphere is very helpful in forming relations and having a more intimate learning experience, there is very little diversity in St. Clair. Diversity within the school is slowly increasing, but students of color are still outnumbered.... Read 33 reviews
