Sigourney Junior/Senior High School
- Sigourney Community School District, IA
- Rating 3.41 out of 5 27 reviews
Alum: Sigourney Junior/Senior High school is a very small school. I have about 35-40 kids in my graduating class. You know just about everyone there. One thing that is really nice about the school, is because of its size, you have the opportunity to be involved in almost everything. Kids that were star football players and volleyball players would also be involved in the drama department. The teachers all really care about the students, and we were able to have some really amazing relationships with them. I was homeschooled until my freshman year of high school. So Sigourney was where I learned all of my really important social skills. People were really nice to me, and I was able to form some really great frienships there. I was able to try out band, theatre, choir, cross country, track, dance team, cheerleading, key club, and spanish club. I had plenty of opportunities to shine on stage. All of these memories are what can make me look back fondly on my time there.

Keota High School
- Keota Community School District, IA
- Rating 3.52 out of 5 21 reviews
Senior: Keota is an absolutely amazing and supportive community to grow up in. Having a small class, you get to know everyone so well and build personal connections with classmates and teachers. While there are several outstanding teachers at this school, there are also a few who could definitely improve. Most classes at Keota allow you to get out of it what you want. For me, I wanted to learn and expand my knowledge so I did. Other students did not, and some teachers were okay with that. These teachers that did this did not push their students to excel. The good teachers at this school are amazing and so helpful, but there is a large gap between the good and the bad. While it is an amazing place to grow up, the high school could definitely push students further and hold them to higher expectations. It is such a great place, and it is a shame that a few teachers are able to give the school a bad reputation in many students' eyes.
