Senior: I really liked how close the community came together during sporting events or any major events that was happening around us. My high school seemed to really bring us together as we raised money for families who lost their children in tragedies, supported the basketball team when they made it to state, and help provide food in the cafeteria after school for those in need. One thing I believe we could really work on is spending more money upgrading academic utensils because a lot of budget planning goes to the sports section of our school.

Alum: Jay County was a great school with wonderful opportunities not only academically but also with extra curricular activities. I was able to take numerous college classes that aided me in my first year of college. I also was given the opportunity to participate in sports and the music program. I made wonderful friends and have great relationships with my past teachers. Being in a rural town, there was not much diversity at Jay County. I was one of few students who were of a different race. Although there was not much diversity, our school participates in a foreign exchange program where we had numerous students from different countries come to Jay County and attend our school. It was a wonderful opportunity that allowed all students to get to know them and their cultures.

Senior: Throughout my time at Winchester Community High School, I have been taught by some of the best teachers that I could have ever been taught by. Winchester Community High School has been working on preparing their students for life after High School with many different scholarship paths for their students going into the workforce or into college. As a senior at Winchester Community High School, I will leave for college with 30 college credits and will have all of my general education courses finished by the time I leave High School. At Winchester Community High School, the staff and students have created an atmosphere that is great to work, learn, and grow in. My experience here has made me go farther than I ever thought I could. I would recommend this amazing school to any who asked and I would bring my kids back to Winchester to learn from these Master Teachers and the amazing work that they have done for my and the rest of my school community.

Alum: I started my schooling at Randolph Southern Elementary. I went there until my Freshman Year and had to move away with my family. My senior year I was able to go back to Randolph Southern High School by commuting. I chose to go back to Randolph Southern High School because it is a small school with small classrooms. My graduating class of 2017 had 32 kids in it. With smaller classes, you get more one on one time with the teachers. The teachers are more supportive and willing to help you if you are struggling.
