Alum: At Eastside they helped me excel not only in academics but also in their sports program. I graduated as a valedictorian with a 3.97 GPA and earned 19 college credits while also participating in three sports. I was able to participate in the Impact Program and earn my CNA as a junior in high school. As a senior in high school, I was in the H.O.E program which allowed me to shadow different departments in the hospital and outside of the hospital, so I could learn and understand more about my future career. The only improvement or changes I think the school should make is to their English department. I feel I was prepared very well for college, but my understanding when it comes to writing and reading is very poor compared to other peers in my college courses.

Junior: Great school! I have been going here since 2nd grade and have never had a problem with anyone. Its a small town so everyone knows everyone. It is an even smaller school. Students get more one on one time with the teachers. I feel like they have done every possible thing they can do it make the students the best they can be.

Senior: I am now a senior at dekalb high school and I have thoroughly enjoyed my four years at this school. The administration is wonderful and involved with the students. The staff truly cares about their students. They never fail to show us that we are important to them. I am proud to be apart of multiple clubs here at Dekalb including, Leo club, art league, and national honors society. Our schools involvement with the community has been a perfect example to the students, showing us what it means to pay it forward. One thing that I would change about Dekalb is the diversity. We don't thrive in our diversity.

Sophomore: Overall Angola High School is pretty good. The core academics are pretty solid with the exception of a few teachers. The extra classes are where I feel Angola kind of falls off. While we offer a good amount of extra classes for a school this size, the quality of those classes is lackluster I've found. Our athletic programs are pretty phenomenal though. We have a great football coach, volleyball coach, basketball (both boys and girls) coach, and both our Cross and Track programs are improving. Something I would love to see is a greater development of other extracurricular activities like Speech and Debate and Academic Bowl.
