Cuba-Rushford High School
#297 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Cuba-Rushford Central School District, NY
Senior: I have gone to Cuba rushford for my entri school career. Fore the most part the teachers and students fave been fairly exceptional no the programs are extraordinary. One of the best programs at the school is the crcs outdoor program were student raise fish and the deer facility were students raise deer to study. Although my school has seen some serious threats concerning the safety of the students, the staff took all the right steps to ensure the all threats were investigated and the steps were taken to keep our students safe. Another major perc of Cuba high school is that all breakfastes and lunches are free to all students. With all that, Cuba Rushford central high school is a very safe place and opens a lot of doors for every type of sudent.

Charlottesville Catholic School
- Private School
- Charlottesville, VA
- PK, K-8
Parent: Our family LOVES CCS! Our two boys went through CCS and are much better young men and students as a result. The overall environment at the Catholic School is exceptional. Academically, the students are encouraged, supported, and pushed to do their very best in the classroom. The teachers do an amazing job of reaching each student individually which translates into a trusting, caring, and successful school experience for the student, the parent(s), and also the teacher. In and out of the classroom the teachers and staff also do an extraordinary job of instilling discipline, self-respect and respect for others, thoughtfulness, and a sense of community and personal responsibility. Our boys continue to excel each and every year both as students and as young men in our community and I believe those valuable traits are a direct result of the foundation, mentorship, and guidance that they received as students at the Charlottesville Catholic School.

Pioneer Senior High School
#390 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Yorkshire-Pioneer Central School District, NY
Alum: Pioneer is part of a 4-school district that covers quite a lot of surface area around several small towns. It's quite rural and not very diverse, but it certainly has its merits. For those interested in farming, there are classes offered to directly suit those needs and even has a small barn on campus for extra experiential learning. There are several grass soccer fields and a nice turf field for the football team. Since I've left, they've totally refurbished the science labs and renovated the music suites. The music department throughout the entire district was phenomenal. Chorus is offered from 3rd grade up, band and orchestra from 5th grade up. The high school performs a musical every year which is always excellent, with students and community members alike welcome to perform in the pit orchestra. There are also quite a good variety of classes provided, including a decent selection of AP courses offered for potential college credit.

I love that it is a small district, so you know everyone really well and have friendships with teachers that will last long after high school. It is just a great small town with fantastic people and am glad I grew up and go to school here.

West Valley Central School
- West Valley Central School District, NY
- PK, K-12
High School Senior: Although we complain about being in west valley, when I really think about it I'm glad I go here. Yes we're in a school that's only 2 stories high and has k-12th in it with a total of 300 kids. We all know each other and we all get along. We are all friends, I love just being able to walk down the halls and talk to everyone, look around and be able to know everyone. It's nice we don't have to find new people each year to hang with for classes and that we're all friends and can stay close for a long time. It's an amazing feeling.
