Senior: I feel that Bethlehem has provided me with an education that prepares me adequately for college. Not only do I have to work hard to achieve my goals academically, Bethlehem's teachers also allow me to make close and personal relationships with them, furthering my ability to do so in college. I believe that sometimes being at Bethlehem is a lot of effort, but in the end, it pays off.

Guilderland High School
#122 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Guilderland Central School District, NY
Senior: I have grown up in the Guilderland School District for all of my life. The teachers are great and the education you receive is very good as well. It is a school located in a pretty affluent, higher-middle class area. With this location, the school becomes pretty materialistic. Many times you gain popularity with certain status symbols and brands or if you look a certain way. Being an African-American girl, something I would like to see change in Guilderland High School is the diversity. Many times I find myself being the only person of color in my classes and growing up it affected my majorly. I didn't see people of my complexion and it impacted my self esteem when I was younger. The diversity and materialistic nature is the biggest thing to work on. If you find the group of people that you feel comfortable with and know you are accepted, then the school experience is great.

The Town School
- Private School
- New York, NY
- PK, K-8
Alum: I went to Town from Kindergarten through Eighth grade. I so loved my experience that I've stayed involved with the school twenty-plus years later, and I have maintained life-long friendships. I work in the writing world now due in no small part to Ms. Siegel's fifth grade English class. I still remember Bridge to Terabithia! Ms. Siegel opened my eyes to reading. It was first time I stopped looking at the page numbers.
Having no high schoolers really allows for Town students to grow into leaders and to take on active roles in the community. In the upper school, fifth through eighth grades, I served multiple terms in student senate (sadly I lost in my eighth-grade presidential bid). Playing ten-plus competitive soccer and basketball games starting in fifth grade not only helped improve my skills on the field, it gave me a head start on learning to be a teammate and a leader. These experiences served me well later when I would be captain of multiple varsity teams at Dalton.

Clayton A. Bouton High School
#195 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Voorheesville Central School District, NY
Senior: I overall enjoyed my time at vville, especially homecoming, spirit weeks, prom, and my experiences on the sports teams. On the other hand, I wish we had more students, better lunches, and better facilities. Like every high school, it’s more or less fun depending on who your friends are. My outgoing advice is to join lots of clubs and/or sports, they help you make friends!
