Southampton High School
#123 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Southampton Union Free School District, NY
Sophomore: It's okay, food is like any other school I'm assuming. It's a public school and there's tons of afterschool activities and sports are huge! I love the march madness competitions in our school as well. Teachers as a whole, are okay. Obviously, some are better than others but they're always there after school to help if needed

Parent: My young kids love this school. They have made really sweet friends and they are learning a ton! We really like the classical approach because it emphasizes mastering traditional knowledge such as history, geography, scripture, grammar, phonics, art, science, math, and music. The memory period is very effective for teaching memorized material through song, and there are many fun special holidays, events, and field trips, as well as swim team/swim lessons and school play!
The middle and high school are also amazing! The humanities/omnibus courses are really unique in combining classic literature with history, religion, politics, and philosophy--so it's all combined in a way that connects and make sense. Students read the primary texts from that time period rather than just reading a vague summary in a typical textbook. A great preparation for college and a great way to gain wisdom for life!

Pierson Middle/High School
#348 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Sag Harbor Union Free School District, NY
Alum: The IB program really challenges you. Students who succeed in the Diploma program will really be ready for college. There are AP classes to take as well. I know a lot of people in my graduating class got into top ranked colleges. The school has a strong theater program and competitive sports teams for a small school. Administration does a great job hiring teachers. Sag Harbor has a lot of history and its nice they are finally fixing up the facilities. I feel so much more prepared for college than others here at college, so I think Pierson did a good job getting me ready.

- PK, K-12
Senior: Although it is quite a small school, Bridgehampton is an environment where all students can excel. There is a student to teacher ratio that allows all students to have great communication with those that teach them various subjects. I do wish there were more clubs available but due to our small size, it's quite understandable why we lack in this area.
