Aerospace/Hydrospace Engineering & Physical Sciences at the Fairchild Wheeler Campus
#81 Best Public High Schools in Connecticut
Senior: The Aerospace/Hydrospace Engineering High School which resides in Bridgeport, Connecticut is one of the three scientific divisions of the Fairchild Wheeler Multi-Magnet Campus. It is a wonderful institution for youth students who strive to partake in STEM career paths. As students in Aerospace, we are taught to practice strong leadership, kindness, and to accept and embrace all kinds of students. As scientists we are taught the importance of our creativity when collaborating to solve a problem, as well as engineering and designing new devices and methods to utilize during our STEM classes. Personally, my experience as an academic student has been quite positive. The teachers provide adequate support to those who are in need of extra help and one-on-one tutoring. At Fairchild, peer-tutoring is also strongly encouraged. This way, we can collaborate and learn from one another. Fairchild provides dual-enrollment courses for students to take with UCONN that earns them additional credits.
