Senior: It is hard to put into words the incredibly positive impact that this school has had on my life. Coming in as an awkward freshman, I was greeted by a welcoming community of intelligent, funny, and hard-working students and teachers that have supported me since day one. Through the most amazing sports teams, clubs, organizations, and even just academic classes, I have made memories and formed relationships (with students and teachers alike) that will last me a lifetime. Now as a senior in my fourth year at the school, I feel confident in myself as a learner, friend, teammate, leader, and person, and so much of this is thanks to Nobles. Starting with assembly in the morning, and ending with "Dogs on three, one, two, three, DOGS!" at the end of practice in the afternoon, the constant infectious energy makes it a joy for me to go to school each day. Parent: We have a rising freshman at St. Sebs. He absolutely loves the school. As parents, we are convinced that he is a better person with his 2 years at St. Sebastian than he would have been otherwise. The teachers, the student body, and the school provide a great learning environment for young boys and help them develop into good men. The following is my son's feedback on the school: St. Sebastian's school teaches the values of brotherhood, morals, and ethics, while also promoting a light encouraging atmosphere that is very conducive to learning. Senior: My experience at Thayer Academy was phenomenal. The faculty is very supportive and helpful towards my academic success. The faculty finds time in their busy schedules for extra help or support. Thayer gives each student lots of freedom and opportunities during their time. Thayer is academically challenging but with with only 10-15 students in a classroom, there’s many opportunities for questions and help. Thayer has a great atmosphere with every student getting along with one another and building strong relationships with so few students in a class. One thing that makes Thayer stand out is the focus on the students mental health. Thayer provides anyone struggling with anything in or out of the classroom with support and love. Thayer is like a day college, where you see students go in and out of buildings for class and when they don’t have a class, you can see them having fun playing games on the open field. Middle School Student: Al-Noor Academy is a beautiful and brilliant place to learn. If your looking for a school for your child to learn Islam, this is the perfect place. Al-Noor Academy offers many courses for such, like Islamic Sciences, Quranic Studies, and more. Additionally, the math, science, history, literature, and so many other courses are wonderful. The teachers care for each and every student to help them thrive in these rigorous classes. Parent: My only child graduated from CATS Academy Boston a year ago. She got straight into Computer Sci uni program without taking competitive uni entrance exam. I can't say enough good things CATS offer to students: beautiful n safe campus, rich food, diverse culture, great teacher guidance...Boarding room is so unique, my child was given a single room with own clean bathroom n aircon, something I can't find in any other boarding school before. Therefore, she studied very hard n got great results during 2 years highschool at CATS. CATS prepares so well for university. Alum: My time at Woodward was so integral to my growth academically, socially, and as a person! I always felt supported in anything I did, both by my peers and by the amazing faculty (many of whom I stay in contact with). I had the freedom to pursue challenging classes with the knowledge that if I struggled, my teachers were always available to provide extra help. If a class proved too easy, teachers were willing and able to give me harder work- the individualized learning environment is one of Woodward’s strongest features. I had many, many opportunities to take leadership positions in student clubs and afterschool activities (theatre, athletics, the various Honors Societies). Having such a wide range of ages gives older students a sense of responsibility and younger students role models that they can rely on, which was just as important to me senior year as it was the first year I attended. Senior: The best part of my Xaverian experience is my incredible friends. The school has this cool community vibe where everyone is really friendly and supportive. Additionally, we get to do cool stuff for the community, like volunteering and helping others. For example, I participated in the Xaverian Global Encounter program, where we worked at the André House, an independent ministry agency that provides resources to unhoused people and economically disadvantaged populations in the Phoenix area. It feels really good to make a positive impact. On the other hand, we have a great variety of sports and clubs at Xaverian. I joined the varsity swimming team and several clubs, and it's a blast! The worst part of my Xaverian experience is the lack of diversity. It would be awesome to see more people from different backgrounds and cultures. For us the teachers went above and beyond inside and outside the classroom. The faith based education you receive at Spellman keeps kids grounded no matter what is going on in the world. Ministry and service at Spellman is an integral part of the students experience at Spellman. From the class retreats, service days, service trips, campus ministry and school masses, our daughter has gained so much more than just an education. Senior: Obviously, my experience is different since I went through COVID-19. Overall, I like the teachers as many of them are understanding and will support students if they are going through hardships. Most of the teachers teach the subject with such ease. There is an enormous bumbler of clubs that people can join and be a part of. One thing that brings down Stoughton is the mood of it. There are often fights in the halls and it's difficult to see all this violence happening in a place of learning and clubs. Parent: Archbishop Williams is exceeding our expectations in every way. I currently have two students attending the school. One in the Junior High and one in the High School. My children are very different from one another and each has found a home here. The teachers are engaged, kind, challenging, responsive and willing to go the extra mile. I have noticed that MANY show up to sports events and other activities to support their students. The administration is available and accessible. They are also very involved with the students. As a mom of an Athlete, the Sports complex is a game changer! And I would also say, as someone who commutes quite the distance, families support each other with transportation. Junior: Teachers are amazing, people are amicable, food is ok. Administration, however, has made some terrible decisions without regard to the students, parents, or faculty within the past few years. The school loves to hide things from us that cannot be ignored, like hate crimes in bathrooms and random decisions they decide to make out of the blue that affect your high school career. But, aside from administration, I really like this school. Finding a group here you can resonate with is easy and exploratory is super fun freshman year. Southeastern is a vocational school, so it is preparing you for a trade in the workforce rather than going to college/s. It is difficult since, personally, I am interested seeking a higher education, and am trying the best I can to stick out. A word of advice would be to research! Parent: As a parent, finding a good middle school was one of my top priorities, when I toured Boston prep I felt great. They make sure the phones are in a case that locks during class hours and they are not allowed to use it until after school, I have met some amazing staff that have my child's best interests. The uniforms allows for my child to focus on school instead of who is wearing what. She got honor roll throughout 6th grade. One thing i would like improved is the communication with the parents, they seem to communicate more with the students to give them more independence but some teachers and staff forget that they are still children coming in from elementary school....
